My home town, like many, has a Hollywood-inspired ‘walk of fame’ where local celebrities names are included in stars. Yet the dude I went to school with who had the massive willy who went to LA to star in porn films, is not amongst them.
My grandmother passed away today. I feel so privileged to have known her, and for my children – her great-grandchildren! – to have known her too. 98 is a fantastic age, and I’ll always remember her love and kindness ❤️
Today was a lovely spring day, the sun was warm. I decided to open the doors to the garden and read a book. It was cold and windy and next doors cat came in and refused to leave, beat up my dog and destroyed some things. So not fully successful.
I have never been less interested in talk about Apple than I have been in the last few months. Between DMA/DoJ and Vision Pro, my tech podcast queue has become a bit of a snooze fest.
On the bright side, I'm catching up on more non-tech shows I love.
Does anyone know of any good resources or tutorials that cover modern web development from the perspective of someone who just needs a refresher / whats new in the last 5 years?
As a person who did not watch it, asking honestly, was “Game of Thrones” a good show, or a shared experience? No one seems to talk about it now, or want to rewatch it. Is it fair to put it in the “Lost” bin and not bother or should I consider it?
@agiletortoise I noped out when the kid was pushed out the window, so I’m not a good judge, but GRR Martin will never finish the books. If you want a “completed” version of Game of Thrones the TV show is your only option.
@jamesthomson Oof. That’s a bummer, but as you said the corrective surgery is straight forward. Both of my folks had it done over the years and were up and going in no time.
