jetsetdorito,

I feel like I’m having a change of heart on NextCloud… Every time some little thing breaks I have to figure out how to fix it

jetsetdorito,

It largely is, but yesterday the Recognize app broke and I have no idea how to fix it. I think the environment got messed up from an apt-get upgrade? Its little things like that I have to figure out how to fix

jetsetdorito,

Transport Fever 2 has consumed my free time. It’s like a time machine, I open the game and I’m launched 4 hours into the future

jetsetdorito,

I’ve tried a few times I just can’t get myself to like the UI

jetsetdorito,

The main difference I see is Chromium based browsers install it to your app drawer like a regular app

jetsetdorito,

You should really upgrade to hunter3

jetsetdorito,

The most infuriating part is when this happens while using a password from a password manager

10 years ago, Google launched the 2nd-gen Nexus 7, and no tablet has captured its magic since (www.androidpolice.com)

Ten years ago today, Google released the 2nd-generation Nexus 7, just days after a surprise announcement. Back then, Android tablets still felt fresh and exciting. It seemed like anything was possible, and things could only improve from there. Well, we know what happened next. But the depressing state of the tablet market to...

jetsetdorito,

I still miss how nice this was when it came out. Rocking a Galaxy Tab S5e with Lineage OS which I’m really enjoying now though.

Privacy with Google's Gboard (lemm.ee)

The only app I can’t live without. Except for gboard, all of my applications are Foss. There is no competition for gboard’s swipe typing, not to mention its many capabilities like as searching for gifs, stickers, being able to paste copied images, translating, and so on. I’d like to know how I can use gboard while...

jetsetdorito,

Tried it for a few minutes, it just feels off. It could just be the haptics? Idk this makes sense it just really makes me aware I’m typing on a screen

jetsetdorito,

You can wait install later I guess. It’s extremely unlikely you’ll stumble across it on accident, but it happens on rare occasions. If you do install it just don’t investigate the radio tower on the home planet.

jetsetdorito,

1000 down / 20 up for $75 from Comcast. It’s getting upgraded to 1200/200… Eventually… 🥲

If they take too long I might just hop back to TMobile 5g home internet. It would peak at like 500 down / 120 up for $50 which I was super happy with.

More like “what if people living in cities didn’t have to depend on a car”

jetsetdorito,

I feel like that should have the opposite implication 🫠

jetsetdorito,

Can we just get third party RCS support

jetsetdorito,

Third party apps like Textra or Pulse can’t access the RCS APIs, if you want to use a different carrier messaging app you can’t use RCS currently. Also as far as I know the system doesn’t actually know what RCS messages are and they’re stored as SMS/MMS internally. Like if you restore from a backup or clear data on Google Messages, all your existing RCS messages appear as SMS/MMS.

jetsetdorito,

I remember a comment before on another app “why is there a secret rule every Lemmy app developer has to pick a gross mascot, this is a literal fucking rat”

jetsetdorito,

Maybe look into creating your own instance (or even a gaming focused instance), like !android

Does anyone have a good reason to go for the Chase trifecta over the Capital One duo if you travel about once a year?

Hi, the Capital One duo is looking like a much better deal than with the Chase trifecta, especially if you’re a CSR holder. With Chase reducing their benefits and trimming their bonus categories every year, I don’t see a point in keeping the Chase trifecta as your main source of points anymore. The Capital One duo + Bilt (if...

jetsetdorito,

I’m really debating on the Altitude Reserve. If you don’t travel the bonus annual credits can also be used on dining. Plus effective 4.5% back on contactless.
