Hello, fountain pen peeps. For those of you who have a Diplomat Aero, how do you find the grip? I tried one and felt it was too slippery and had to exchange it for a different pen. I really like the look of it, especially the flame version, but the metal grip didn't work for my small hands. ☹️ I'm also interested in the Elox Matrix Green (is it discontinued?), but it looks like it has the same metal grip. #FountainPens#Diplomat

The YT app on Apple TV is really testing my patience. Besides the super annoying pause screen that kicks in now, and the screensaver, it resets your place in a list every time (e.g. going through your watch later list, or videos from all your subscriptions). If you play a video, it always resets to the top of the list when you back out to the list. I hate this behavior in any app. 😡 #UX#UI#annoyance#gripe#AppleTV
@jezlyn I was wondering myself if there’s a way to turn off the screensaver. It just seems like a strange decision, surely an idle state should be handled by the system or TV, not by the app? Maybe they got tired of people complaining about their place being reset since their resume implementation sucks so much
I use the timer on my Apple Watch a lot. I find it frustrating that instead of pressing on the big “done” in the middle of the screen to stop the timer after going off, I have to target the small x button in the lower left corner, which because it is very near the rounded edges of the Watch’s screen, is even harder to target. 😒 (I just now saw the Done label isn’t even centered in the circle :smh:)
Hello, fountain pen peoples: any recommendations on how to clean out a moldy fountain pen? Perhaps I’m not searching well enough, but I haven’t found a definitive answer or instructions. I saw a few mentions about using a bleach solution to clean, but no measurements on bleach to water ratio. Supposedly this bleach solution could be used to clean fountain pen parts like the cap also, but I’m not sure if it’s really okay. #FountainPens#cleaning#mold#yuck
@jezlyn I disassemble the pen, use a soft toothbrush to scrub the feed, and soak parts in a strong vinegar and water solution. (I am wary of using bleach.) Then I rinse thoroughly and air dry, before reassembly. If I want to reuse that pen I just syringe ink in the converter/cartridge instead of dipping it into a bottle. Then I watch if the mold recurs. So far that has worked for me.
It took a while to put together, but here's my post for #InkSwatchWednesday, coinciding with the 1st of the month, the typical time to update my batch of currently inked pens.
YouTube has this new screensaver mode that dropped today for me where it shows a thumbnail of some theme like, “Acrylic Pouring Techniques” or “New York City Drone” and UI encouraging you to “press up to play”. It’s slightly annoying because it now overrides the art screensaver that I set up as my default Apple TV screensaver.
Pressing up plays a video associated with the listed theme. I wonder how much the video creators got paid for this? 🤔 #YouTube#weird#screensaver
