So I decided to try LocOS -KDE version on the 2014 mac Mini. It was reponsive but just like the heavier KDE neon at some point it ended locking up the GUI while I was doing updates. I could still exit with ALT+F2.
@cliffwade@philipdrobar I must admit I do not use it myself but the reason for it existence should be to replace services like Google drive / photos / whatever spiders your data. Perhaps worth looking into it.
I don't know what is going on with Linux getting above 4% earlier this year and keeping going, but I like it. I thought it was Steam or ChromeOS, but according to their data it is not. Let's keep on trucking! #linuxgamingonlinux.com/2024/04/linu…
So after months of being a huge @Vivaldi fanboy, I'm finally moving away from it. I don't want to, but every update they push this happens. And sometimes I can fix it by deleting a cache file, this time I couldn't. It's just annoying to know that if you get an update, it breaks your browser.
@thelinuxcast@Vivaldi well that is an Electron issue actually, can't blame Vivaldi for it. Also happens with Lens and VSCodium. Think it is LLVM 16 related in combination with AMD Graphics. (Not sure yet)
@thelinuxcast hmm ok. Perhaps I am chasing a "red herring" here but I thought that it had to do with that. Are you using AMD graphics? Perhaps it is related to mesa then. I just wonder. I just moved to LLVM 17 here and I noticed my issue went away, but I also moved to latest mesa...

driverVersion = 23.3.3
I've tried to switch from GNOME to KDE on #Nobara39. But when I switched from GDM to SDDM, SDDM won't detect my Nordic keyboard layout. In other words, I can't log in to my PC whilst using SDDM 😑
The solutions I've found online have not helped me... Does anyone here have any idea what might be going on, and what the solution might be?
