I’ve been noticing this trend a lot. Profit made them all forget their principles, if they ever had any.
All the “serious” newspapers, that existed irl when the Internet became available, are now using the same subscription-based model, showing really low ads and contributing to the search engine chaos. They suddenly have articles about anything, just for SEO, just to rank high on Google.
Capitalism was imposed on us. The only way to destroy capitalism, is to exit the grid and not play their game anymore. If everyone, in the whole fucking world, would boycott all the juicy distractions that are offered to us, for example.
If no one bought their products, watched their shows, used their banks and maybe stopped giving attention to the rich fucks, the revenue would disappear.
At this point, you should be able to ask, if you missed something important in the last few years. Is there any open conversation waiting for a reply somewhere?
Edit: if they use our data, they should at least give us some useful tools, in order for us to be able to see what personal information is out there …
Misaligned AI systems can malfunction and cause harm. AI systems may find loopholes that allow them to accomplish their proxy goals efficiently but in unintended, sometimes harmful, ways (reward hacking).
They may also develop unwanted instrumental strategies, such as seeking power or survival because such strategies help them achieve their final given goals. Furthermore, they may develop undesirable emergent goals that may be hard to detect before the system is deployed and encounters new situations and data distributions.
Today, these problems affect existing commercial systems such as language models, robots, autonomous vehicles, and social media recommendation engines.
The last paragraph drives home the urgency of maybe devoting more than just 20% of their capacity for solving this.
People are like this also irl. Sure, there was a subreddit for it, but the nothingeverhappens attitude is one of the things i experienced in any country I’ve been in.
I think they meant, that they also pooped, since the neighbor was ranting about the poop ( it must have been a dog in their logic, because of the dog footprints )
