Mastodon could really do with a feature to follow another instance's local timeline. does any other implementation support this feature? i know i'm not the first one to suggest it...
@iamlayer8@IceCubesApp I would say this could be added to any of the three!
If we want to have this feature ASAP it could be done in a client (in a hacky way)
This definitely should be added to Mastodon, and then added to its API
This behavior should be documented in AP somewhere for best practices for all software to implement.
ah hello @mxmehl! I see you are listed as "Open Source Strategy & Governance" at DB! https://opensource.deutschebahn.com/opensource
Is there any plan to bring https://twitter.com/db_info and other DB info sources into the fediverse? Would love to follow specific lines like the U8 and get notified here when they are having delays etc!
@logout what I am looking for is a thing thats not for geeks... and also not attached to a 3rd party... I can go in and add subdomains and assign them to a CNAME myself, I just want to allow other people to easily set that up themselves without needing access to my domain registrar.
Listening to podcasts and being reminded that we need solutions for 'adblocking' in-stream-audio. Here's looking at you Vox and The Verge. I think the method that SponsorBlock is using is probably the right direction. Aware of any interesting projects in this area?
