A very interesting article in Foreign Affairs According to projections from the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic Social Affairs, China’s and Japan’s populations are set to fall by eight percent and 18 percent, respectively, between 2020 and 2050. South Korea’s population is poised to shrink by 12 percent. And Taiwan’s will go down by an estimated eight percent. The Israeli government has cut off food, water, and fuel to 2 million people inside Gaza as part of its campaign to stamp out Hamas terrorism. Collective punishment is not only contrary to international law, it is inhumane and illogical. It is what my community once endured in World War II, all because of the actions of others who happened to share our ethnicity. Have we learned nothing? How will this possibly help deescalate the violence rather than radicalize many more? It is madness.

@georgetakei I have always respected you. This is not collective punishment this is a state that opened a war with unbelievable atrocities against us. Why should we provide them with food or electricity. They are now our enemy and we have seen what they are capable of.we do not target civilians but as Hamas fighters and Hamas missiles are hidden among civilians some will die. I am sorry about that but if Hamas wants to surrender we can end this.

WAS RUSSIA INVOLVED?

I'm seeing reports that Russia played a part in the Hamas attacks.

A country was behind Hamas ability to take down and/or circumvent Israel's Iron Dome air defenses.

Iran wants the destruction of Israel. Iran is providing Russia with military weapons for its fight against Ukraine. Russia has the technology.

To me, it seems there is a partnership of at least Russia, Iran and Hamas at work here.
