@graemewinter coming from a naive angle: The question is whether apps on ios are a market. If it is then Apple controls 100% of it, that's a monopoly in any book.

If mobile apps are the market then Apple controls 60% of the devices in the US. Again, that can be viewed as a monopoly.

If anything about this is surprising it is that they got away with this scot free for so long.

Like, it continues updating the terminal, but it looks as if the file scanner simply stops doing anything. No CPU usage either.

I don't think I even want to know why, but I'd be surprised if it's restic's fault. 🙄

In meinem Herz ist ein mopsförmiges Loch.

Gestern Vormittag ist Schlomo in der Tierarztpraxis gestorben. Es ging ihm ganz plötzlich schlecht und sie konnten ihm nicht mehr helfen. Dementsprechend groß ist mein Schock.

Es ist wie in meinen Albträumen, wo mir die Kaninchen entlaufen, als hätte ich aus Versehen das Gartentor aufgelassen und er ist raus gehoppelt und kommt jetzt nicht wieder.

Ich kann das noch gar nicht akzeptieren und bin noch auf "Er soll aber wieder kommen" hängen geblieben.

Ein braun-weißes Kaninchen sitzt auf der Schwelle zum geöffneten Balkon und schaut nach draußen.

PSA - if you ever see stuff like this happening on the roadside -or anywhere in public- keep walking! Those are lasers in a class where even looking at the beam indirectly can damage your vision permanently.

Guy with a frigging laser etching nice patterns into stones in a pedestrian area. Pattern is very nice and intricate, which is neat because it will remain on your retina for a long time.

I'm as security conscious as the next guy, but... why should I care one bit about my Netflix account security? The literally worst thing someone could do with that information would be to

  1. use the account, and
  2. modify my viewing history, my playlists, and my rankings, change my subscription or close the account.

The latter would be a minor inconvenience. The former... I am not Netflix, so I really do not care about that unless it directly affects me.
