Must delete Google.

I am nearly ready to delete my Google Account. The 1 thing taking forever is changing my e-mail address on all my many accounts.

Google's new Terms of Service, you agree Google AI may access all your content (email, photos, etc.). While they do not claim ownership of your content, you agree they can use it.

@Linux Which email service(s) can you recommend, that don't result in messages finding their way into spam, because they don't have secret 'trust only gmail' flag?

Facebook has been unusable to me for the last year, or more. Almost no posts from friends. Just group posts, spammy image/video posts from un-followed groups, and adverts.

So last month, I muted all my groups hoping that my feed would be re-populated with my friends.

Spoiler alert: I now get only spammy image/video posts from un-followed groups, and adverts :(

I got these #LEGO badges during the 80s. Although I'm no longer a member of the club (if it even exists!) am I allowed to wear them, given I self-identify as an #AFOL?

The Hidden Library of St. Paul's Cathedral in London will be available for its first overnight guests on March 15. Two lucky people will be able to peruse its 22,000-book collection and climb the dome of the cathedral, led by the Dean of St. Paul's, before settling down for the night. They'll also receive signed advance copies of books including Holly Jackson’s "The Reappearance of Rachel Price," John Grisham’s "Camino Ghosts," and Kevin Kwan’s "Lies and Weddings." The stay costs just £7 (about $9) and includes breakfast, dinner and activities. Here's more from @thrillist including a link to book, which will go live on March 12 at 10 a.m. GMT.

I am part of tech industry because of the #Sinclair #ZX81, released on this day in 1981. (It is also possibly the only computer that uses the current year in its name!)

During my time I've met Sir Clive, Rick Dickinson, and John Grant amongst many other luminaries of the time. Things came full-circle when, on the 40th anniversary, Cronosoft released a game I'd written for it! (Going back to Z80 assembler was actually more fun second time around, because we have such good tools now.)

Some on the Microsoft Windows team thinks that a good way of explaining an Ethernet cable is to liken it to the phone cable for a landline!?!?

If only there was less obsolete way of describing such things. Maybe via a picture?

Despite all the plundering of the Victorian era, at least they could effortlessly use the phrase, "Catching up with my correspondence"

Our equivalent is the less charismatic, "Replying to emails, and doom scrolling"

For the last 30 years I've always considered myself a developer, first and foremost, but one who also knows how to communicate.

But over the last few months I've realised that by writing books, giving conferences talks (120+ in total, and 3 already this year!), and building a bunch of demos, that I might now be closer to a communicator that also happens to be a developer!

Has anyone made the move into Dev Rels after such a long time in development?
