All done! Took 90 minutes to render, on the dot.

I sorta want to make a 60fps version, maybe at half speed. But that would mean 4x the frames as this one, and I'm not ready to devote 6 hours of render time to this.

Not bad for a half-day's work! 😎

One more Blender post for today... I threw this together (from scratch!) this afternoon, just to test how it might work.

It's a recreation of a GIF someone posted on Reddit a few days ago, and I can't wait to get it animated tomorrow! 😎

Render times (with Cycles) at 1080x1920 stand at... 42 seconds apiece, though. 😅

Almost done animating this project. Here's a quick clip of a truck picking up some raw data from a wind turbine! 😎

I'm pretty happy with how all of this is coming together, but especially happy with some of the smaller things, like how the grass turned out.

Rendered in Blender 3.6.5 with Eevee.

The truck pulls up to the turbine, the camera zooms into a nearby screen and pad, and a glowing blue block materializes on the pad. The block then moves into the truck, and the truck drives off. @andycarolan Yeah, I looked at Hootsuite, but I'd rather not pay $10/mo.

Also checked out IFTTT, which looked like it might have worked, but you can't plug into Mastodon accounts that aren't part of mastodon.social!

I post my art to a lot of different places, so I just thought it'd be nice if I could make that easier... appreciate the boost!
