We're getting somewhere. Started adding details to make it look fancier.

Love the non-destructive nature of SDF modeling. It enabled me to completely change the grill without any pain.

Added a few more little widgets to finish the model.

I think this time I'm going to export the model to Blender for rendering with Cycles. MagicaCSG includes a great path tracing renderer, but it lacks textures.

I was too lazy to port it to Blender and add textures, and I think MagicaCSG's renderer did a fine job again.

It’s true tho. The only two tools left, that make me stick Adobe Illustrator around. Image Tracer and Recolor Artwork.

Affinity Designer does miss some stuff but relpaced Illustrator in my workflows up to 90%. Main reasons being performance and UX consisency.

What are your thoughts?

Started a new sculpting project in Blender Sculpt Mode.

I love SDF modeling, but I also like to remain adroit in traditional 3D sculpting. Both techniques have their own charm.

In this stage I'm determining the global shapes and add some crude first details.

Blender portrait sculpture work-in-progress stages.

I decided to sculpt this guy as a single mesh, instead of the usual blocking out with separate primitives. Then I separated the shirt once that was sufficiently shaped.
