My current progress on the base model for the new style of the main character. Fairly happy with it so far, they look so cute. They also have cute beans on their paws.
The head took a bit longer than I was expecting, was fairly complex with the topology. The tail and hair (with some edits to the hair) were copied from the old design, since I was fairly happy with them already
Glad I decided to redo them, I'm much happier with this style #gamedev#indiedev#SoloDev#gamedesign#3dmodel#blender
Just cleared out my folder of in-progress files as they had all languished there for too long and obviously weren't meant to be. I'm left with a photo of a lemur that I thought looked boopable and NOTHING else 😮
@eclectech There's a fair bit of open source animation software, and some of cross platform, like #blender which is used by professionals.
Also #Krita, I think is cross platform.
Made with Blender. If you want to see more (or read details I've written about before) I have other threads but note that most instances I've seen seem to only get one thread or the other (so you may need to look at my threads on Kbin). There's another image (an office plant) in the comments of one too. Nothing really...
I feel like I'm hallucinating. Didn't we used to be able to toggle dynamic topology with a keypress in #blender? There's no keymapping for it, and "d" does nothing.
But I can still change the SCALE of the dynamic topology with a keypress? I just can't USE it?!
Yesterday at Sesc, on our Wednesday's "Open code lab", a group of 8 people including me and my educator colleague, we started to follow @tabreturn's #creativeCoding tutorial for #Blender, it was great, we finished 2 parts and just started the 3rd and final one.
It uses Blender 2 and we are on Blender 4 now, something that got easier is the "Toggle System Shell" feature... so you don't need to launch Blender from the terminal/command prompt
OC Yeah I stole the idea from a spam thumbnail, low-poly 3D vertex colors only
