It's sad that not only large companies go through the cycle, I'm starting to notice it in many content creators too.

I started following their feeds, YouTube channels, newsletters, etc. because I enjoyed what they said, the topics they brought up, and the way they discussed them. But as they gain traction, the quality of their products take a hit as they all inevitably veer towards self-promotion of courses, seminars, books, etc.

It's exhausting and quite depressing, honestly

@hk in this case I tend to hate the game, not the player. If YT/Twitch creators donโ€™t go down this route they effectively lose their audience as The Algorithmโ„ข๏ธ deems it Not Good Content.

Just 4 episodes into Shogun and Iโ€™m so glad to be able to say that without any shadow of a doubt, all my misgivings and fears about this series have been put to rest.

I was afraid that it would fall into the same trap as something like The Last Samurai, but thatโ€™s not the case at all. The opposite in fact.

Terrific story do far, beautifully shot and wonderfully acted.

If you havenโ€™t seen it yet, I highly recommend you give it a chance.

Itโ€™s rare that I play games in the year of their release, but Iโ€™m making an exception for Prince of Persia: the Lost Crown, as I bought it on day 1 and only just getting round to starting it.

Found it tough going at the start (Iโ€™ve never been good at parry timing in games), but slowly working my way through. Switched the dialogue audio to Farsi for a more authentic experience.

Finished What Remains of Edith Finch on the Steam Deck over the last couple of nights. A short walking sim/light puzzle game where the protagonist attempts to unravel a mystery about why everyone in her extended family has died.

Quite poignant and eerie, I enjoyed it a lot! #ShareYourGames

Finally finished BioShock tonight after 17 years and two previous failed attempts!

Finally clicked as I played it more like an immersive sim than a straight FPS, and while it has some flaws (endless pipe mania, basically a corridor shooter and slightly awkward combat), the visual design, plasmids and tonics elevated it into something more than the sum of its parts. #ShareYourGames

There are not many better moments in gaming than hypnotising a big daddy and pitting it against another one, then when one has prevailed finishing it off and taking all the goodies. Or carefully hacking all turrets and cameras in an earlier area and luring splicers into the Death Zoneโ„ข๏ธ

I managed to save all the Little Sisters too. :ablobcatheart:

I suppose it means BioShock 2 at some point I guess, but I hear itโ€™s not quite as good.

I was in the mood for some arcade gaming yesterday after work, so I started playing some Gun.Smoke, 19XX, GigaWing, Final Fight on Capcom Arcade Stadium.
Then I moved on to Ketsui Deathtiny on PS4, by Cave and M2, which is exclusive to the system.

It's one of the Cave games I'm not actually good at, but I love it nonetheless and the new modes are just brilliant!

The Deathtiny one especially is actually very easy with a tiny hitbox. So much fun!

Bit of an odd one, but can any other users confirm the following behaviour?

If you pin a tab in a regular personal tab group, the tab will shrink to a small square, but if you pin a tab in a named tab group itโ€™ll stay the same size as the others.

If this is expected behaviour, why?

Iโ€™ve tried with a Personal and a Work window, and it happens across both.

Hereโ€™s the latest addition to my collection: a red super-slim PS3! Itโ€™s got a sliding mechanism for the disc tray, which I think is very cute. :ablobcatheart:

Identical to the last image except the eject button has been pressed. Unlike the regular and slim editions of this console, the disc cover slides downwards to reveal the drive. There is no disc inside, so you can see the lens.

They had a bunch of Visual Novels for super cheap.
One example is Robotics Notes which is sold out at most places.
I saw one listing for โ‚ฌ80!

Got it brand new for โ‚ฌ18 instead. ๐Ÿ˜Š

@LadyMarth01 I have trouble separating art from the artist. Itโ€™s why I no longer listen to Marilyn Manson or Lostprophets (not that I listened to the latter a lot, but itโ€™s a good example). However, Wagner was a massive prick, even for his time. I think the passage of time helps with that, especially if they werenโ€™t around during my own lifetime.

Itโ€™s a tricky one.

Last night I was ready to start a new RPG. Itโ€™s been quite a while so I was in the perfect mood for it.
And since I watched that Ys video I really wanted to play an entry into the series.
Since I canโ€™t restart 8 on PS5 yet, I decided to go with Memories of Celceta.
I only played the intro back in the day on Vita. Played for about 3 hours last night and Iโ€™m really enjoying it. Canโ€™t wait to go home late tonight and play some more.

Bounced off it hard during the 360 era but Iโ€™m rinsing through Alan Wake Remastered this weekend! Completed one episode last night and two more today. After some frustrating encounters early on when I didnโ€™t understand the mechanics very well, Iโ€™ve been gripped since then!

Iโ€™ve just been on my monthly pilgrimage to Arnold CeX and this is what Iโ€™ve returned with (except the cat, which was here beforehand).
