Me: YOU CAN JUST APPLY ONLINE FOR THAT YOUR KID IS A TEEN RIGHT IT'S SUCH A GREAT PROGRAM TELL HIM GOOD JOB

I have now realized that her kid is 12 and now I am debating telling him to lie to the library about his age or just wait his turn. We have plenty of books here in my library

Bluesky is going great. The whole no-moderation thing was a great idea when you opened the floodgates to tens of thousands of people.

“You can mute people!” is the entire current moderation plan, so this is what you get.

@trochee Tangential, but: I went to a "startup boot camp" at my college about 10 years ago. One day, one of the VCs there was talking about her theory that (I think?) Y Combinator was some sort of Westworld-esque data mining operation, trying to find the characteristics of the perfect entrepreneur. (She said this admiringly.)

Since some people have asked me, here's a quick thread on initial experience comparison between Bluesky and the fediverse. It's important to note that this comparison is somewhat absurd by default because Bluesky is still tiny & unproven, but there's interest so I'm happy to share what I've observed. Also, I don't get into protocol differences because honestly who cares. So:
