Yeah, I regret not photographing it more… Always said I would later when I have more time. Now it’s gone. Was torn down from age and disrepair after the pandemic and hardly any tourists. They are replacing it with another hotel. Not like we already have more than enough of those here. This was a landmark and its just gone now. Pretty sad.

Not everyone weathered the typhoon here so well... Many of my friends were without power for days. There was flooding and landslides and one of my friends had to evacuate his home to escape in case the landslides got worse near his home. There were 2 deaths and about 54 injured in the typhoon in Okinawa. Airlines cancelled flights for days as well. Lots of people got stuck here and couldn't fly home. There was also close to $4M in damages to the agricultural industry here on the island too. Still some power outages here and there, but we can finally start to rebuild and repair the island.
