This is absoutely true. We had both of our kids here in . The care was top-notch, we had a private room, constant care, and they even treated us to 5-course meal on the night before we left. The total cost was around $2500 but we ended up getting more than that back from the government. I heard what my sisters had in and it doesn't compare. And it would have cost us 10 times the amount. Patting myself on the back for making the move to .

On this day five years ago we were in for the last time. We visited , there to head to the volcano and look around the Arimura Lava Observatory, then to wander the Sengan-en Garden (and its ridiculous number of large orb spiders in all the trees), have a lovely meal, then sail away as sunset approached, with a fabulous departing view of the volcano.

We're in a pleasant park or garden area on a bright, sunny, cloudless day. Directly in front of us is a small pond edged by rocks and some well-tended, low examples of topiary in the form of rounded bushes. A small stone bridge crosses a narrow part of the pond and some people are walking towards it. Beyond it are some palm trees and a building with a low sloping roof, while the background to the view is a range of hills undulating across the width of the image and completely covered in trees, showing no sign of the rock beneath, although a small waterfall is visible in the distance. It feels very peaceful and warm.
We're looking down at a feast laid out on plates and in bowls, all on a large round tray on a wooden table surface. A half-drunk bottle of some orange-brown liquid is to the left and it has Japanese writing on it. The bowls and dishes contain an assortment of vegetables and noodles, sauces, pieces of fish, and unidentifiable foodstuffs too.
We're at sea looking towards the sun a fraction over the horizon and about to set. The colours in the view are muted. It feels like a hazy sunset and there are only a few small dots of clouds in the very far distance across the inky, rippled sea. A strip of lands stretches from the right of view to about two thirds across; it's low and occasionally jagged, ending fairly abruptly in a small, sheer cliff. Just behind the land we can see a silhouette of a volcano, perfectly pyramidal in form. It feels cool, quiet, and mysterious out here on the water as night is about to fall.
