I don't do this too often but #today went to this little bar. Same place I met my wife. Sat there watching the rain. And the people. And did a repeat or two. Then hailed a tuktuk amd went home.
One of my favorite places in Hanoi is mural street. It's gone through a few changes. This is from 2018 when I live there awhile. The love affair with Hanoi was going strong then. I felt it was my Hanoi. My place. To walk. Get lost. Eat. Drink. Just be and do.
Nice day today. Met my daughter in law and her little girl for coffee and talk and more talk at Starbucks. Turns out she is my closest friend. Can also talk about anything. She's Khmer smart and kind and exceedingly patient with this barang.
How thoughtful. Thanks Noi Cafe. You always anticipate how long I will stay here. #today I see my wonderful Khmer daughter in law. We will talk and listen and do more of both. She's the only Khmer family member besides my wife I'm close to. Meanwhile thanks to this thoughtful coffee house.
Some time ago I rode Amtrak from the east to west. Across the United States. A dream fulfilled. Sunsets realized. This was out the sleeper window somewhere in New York.
It's so nice to get away for a few days. Battambang very different than Siem reap. Still has river and. Central market and nice place to walk. Food is good here too. Along the river walk is peaceful during the days.and my wife enjoying her spicy soup.
