You know they are always thinking how they can use it to only benefit themselves. Don’t kid yourself on that, they’re leeches and this is their mentality

Maybe you can apologize for being so rude without knowing what’s going on? They apologized to de-escalate but clearly you’re just going to use that as a reason to keep being a jerk
You’re kinda skipping over a few things as well as something the previous comment mentioned.
Weather. I live in a pretty big metro area that has freezing cold winters and sweltering hot summers (with high humidity).
Cargo space is definitely something to think about. There are a lot of families that have to drive to a store for a family’s amount of food for the week
Long distances to get to anything in the suburbs amplifies issues 1 and 2 (including usually no pubic transportation to help)
The previous commenter mentioned they don’t want a giant SUV and just want an affordable electric car.
All these things are a reason cars are a huge necessity in most of the US. Yes, getting to an area where we can all mostly use 2 wheels would be great, but we should recognize that doing better is a great step forward instead of shooting it down because it’s not perfect.
I say all this as a person who works from home so I don’t have to worry about a commute, has a small car for necessary trips, and does my best avoid unnecessary driving and makes sure to carpool at every opportunity.
I wouldn’t think that matters. I think it only matters if the school has their own ability to change where they allocate budgets and not the system as a whole directing it.

To add to this, I didn’t buy premium pass that came with either the extra warbond unlocked or 1000 SC (can’t remember which), and I have 140 hours in the game and have unlocked every warbond with earned SC (I have almost 1700 in the bank as well). If you run 2 and 3’s you’ll farm them up pretty easily
I’m not a PC player but you start off attacking a whole group of people and wonder why they get upset about it. Take a step back and reevaluate your position.
Also they have weird behind the scenes integrations into accounts even if they are just supposed to be regular 2FA. You can read stories about Twitch not playing well with other 2FA until 30 days after you remove Authy. I don’t want those kind of shadow integrations and I should be allowed to switch apps as I see fit
So I joined a new gym last year and was pleasantly surprised. They gave me a smart card to get in and out, that’s it, no app, no accounts, no nothing. Well, today I got to the gym and saw the announcement that they are phasing out the access with the smart card and starting to use, you guessed it, an app....
It’s not, but I pushed back on my gym and they got me a barcode key tag. The app just shows a barcode anyway so I lucked out. I took a picture of the barcode and use that to get into the gym. Doesn’t hurt to try
For me it’s gotta be something from ARTE (the French/German culture television channel). Either it’s the one about Chodorowskis weird Dune project or the three-part series about the history of racism. Both were extremely well-made documentaries.
Starts as trying to show how you can cheat in bike racing and ends up exposing Russia in a doping scandal within the Olympics. Was a crazy movie but amazing
Last week I bought a used car. I got a title. I moved to Missouri in January, and I’ll be moving back out of Missouri in a month. I have insurance on it. I’ve been looking at the papers I still need online, and at reviews of the different office I need to go to. Apparently, I need info from the assessors office to show that...
I feel like it depends on where you are for sure. Any time I’m in the STL area I always see tons of expired temp tags. They can start cracking down at any time but a month isn’t very long. Not telling you to break the law, but I would take the risk personally, but would always tell people to do what the rules say.
They weren’t hacked though, right? They just didn’t include the chip verification that we’ve had for decades so people broke into the steering column to turn the ignition. You probably could have used a flathead screwdriver and just jammed that in the key slot and turned and it still would work.
I love seeing this. I’m not quite ready to by this particular bike, but I’m definitely going to share the info with my husband and see what he thinks. This could suit our needs in the next year or two.
The idea of antiwork isn’t bad though. We should use anything and everything we can to utilize automation to allow people to live with as little work as possible. Is that a reality today, no. Can it be a reality in the future, maybe. Things will need maintenance and upkeep, people will want to innovate and try to build new things, etc. But that doesn’t mean we can’t work on things like UBI, free housing, free medicine, free education, etc.
The idea of heading that direction is (what I understood) the main goal. We’re just going to need to take steps to get there and changing the terrible labor practices we currently have became step 1 and thus a majority of the focus in the subreddit.
That’s the reason I didn’t buy one and made my own. Get a thicker piece of plywood in the size you want, get a box of stick on tiles, and get some decent trim to hide the edges of the plywood and you’re set.
Grief affects people differently. I’m not going to go to into what happened to me, but it definitely motivated me and I’ve been a camp counselor (week long camp counselor, not a licensed or practiced one). I’ve seen a mix of (mostly) kids but still some adults during my volunteering. Rule one is still “you don’t know how they’re going to take it”.
Even better, damp paper towel over the slices, microwaved to heated through. Then while that’s happening melt some butter in the pan, put the hot slices in the melted butter, cover with a kid and wait a few minutes. It’s more work bit it’s almost perfect if you feel like getting more dishes dirty.
