I did the build. Died horribly (this is the way) quite proud of what I achieved though. It was a fun break from reality. exploring a procedurally generated high tech-low-life fantasy swamp. Love me a good chrome revolver and salve injector.

You'd think the time would be about right for college students and professors to form co-ops and start new universities without all the baggage and problems of the establishment.

Who knows, they might even figure out how to make college affordable again.

@neverbeaten I wonder what the minimum startup costs are... if you want to be super minimal you just need an office building and a couple of large rooms for lectures.

I feel like the biggest bottleneck, at least for the arts, would be the lack of research libraries.

@neverbeaten Hilarity is what my uni library is apparently doing. So evidently 10% of a book can be copied as course material... and each edition of a book is legally a different book... so you can compile McFrankenstein textbooks and distrobute them to students.

Definitely have an infection causing fever and delusions. Literally when I close my eyes, I'm suddenly fletching arrows in some Japanese setting, and when I open them, I'm sweating all over my pillow feeling feverish (but not actually at fever temps yet).

My fever dreams when I was young used to be space-sci fi themed, so I'm familiar with this situation.

    No. I read a lot of 19th century authors as a child. I am trying to write in a much more modern style.

    @NaraMoore I do really like my 19th century literature. I especially like the way the romantics viewed the world. And the modernists. I like how structured and categorical their writing tends to be and their sheer confidence in the belief that everything could be categorised.

    @fujiwara I enjoyed Genshin but realises that I disliked how gatcha heavy maxing out my favourite characters would be. it's... Free to play but only to an extent.

    This is why I’m glad that I'm not using Windows 11 right now and instead using a Macintosh.

    Windows 11 is going to put ads in the start menu? Maybe only on the Home and Pro versions, but not the Enterprise version. But still, I wouldn't like people putting in ads for a product I paid for.

    3. The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine excellent storytelling, absolutely massive, (to the extent it reminds me of Saving Connor) still updating. This is a series of fics under a collection. Has a wide host of OC's and some excellent storytelling and development of Shmi's character. Later parts feature an incredibly scary Darth Plaegious. With all that said, it's pace is at times disappointingly slow, and I don't like Anakin, who the later parts focus on. https://archiveofourown.org/series/1311746
