A while back I did some fan art of the manga Hitomi-chan is Shy With Strangers. The characters are so adorable and I love the dynamic of the gal who can bench press her senpai. ^_^

So I had finally built up the courage to watch A Silent Voice last night. Bullying stories trigger me hard and I know that that was a major subject of that film. Naoko Yamada handled the story beautifully and the film had me with complex thoughts to mull over for a while now. I watched a few character analysis videos on Youtube this morning just to help work through some of my thoughts, and I know that I'll get more out of further viewings. I highly recommend watching.

I think the only reason that it seems obvious to me is that I was around for the internet when it was more like the Wild West, and most "social" interactions were more Federated from the start. Folks younger than I have been brainwashed to think you have to go through a corporation to talk to your friends.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, that I write and draw a graphic novel titled Wapsi Square, But over the last few years, I've experimented with doing animation as well. I suck at it, but you have to suck before you get better (I hope anyway), right? This animation has two of my characters, both paranormal teens, going on a date/Test of Courage. I'm feeling extra fussy this evening, possibly from dealing with obtuse and inconsiderate people earlier today, and not getting any drawing done yet, but I decided to make some beer bread out of an Irish Red beer to see if it helps the fussy feeling go away.

I dabble in audio and building. My comic can best be described as a Slice-of-Paranormal-Life, and some of the big themes are to not judge books by their covers, and learning to deal with your own demons, and mental issues.
