What a weird “upgrade”, I actually quite like my ROG Ally crappy CPU edition. Battery life and white case are my biggest annoyances, but a better APU and/or OLED screen seems like the upgrades most people would want. I guess that's what happens when your transistor budget is wasted on some stupid TOPS requirement.

@fichek @khaost am I the only one who thinks the iPad does all I need it to do? It runs Safari, Mail, iMessage, various streaming services, my social media client of choice. Don't really need it to do anything else. Only thing I’m ever missing is a MicroSD card for cheap media storage.

@stroughtonsmith Do you consider the UICLayoutList stuff "hard”? I'm sure it’s a bit more setup than SwiftUI but certainly a lot easier to deal with non 100% standard UI and less breaks every other SDK concerns.

M4 still seems to be stuck in Thunderbolt 3/4 land. Disappointing, the lack of DP 2.0 and PCIe 4.0 SSD support is going to be increasingly limiting.

“It should’ve been an app”. Yeah sure, but it’s a ton easier to sell a $200 cool looking gadget vs trying to get people to pay $100+ for an app. Also you don’t have to deal with the gate keepers that’ll do everything in their overwhelming power to Sherlock you into the ground in a few months.
