@dansup@phpc
I can’t help with the PHP but it would be great if there was a list of projects and their desired skills available.
I have some Python and React should and wouldn’t mind trying to help out.
It might not suit Pixelfed but may suit some other Fediverse projects.
@sbb@phpc@dansup You could contribute ideas for better ways to package the apps (open an issue and start discussing better ways) or submit pull requests with changes to make them better. That’s the spirit of contributing that @phpc was going for in their post.
#KBin is a #PHP 8.1+ (#Symfony) based application. With the sudden influx from the #RedditMigration, they could use some development and/or monetary help. I’m not even sure whether they accept donations right now, but if you’re looking for an #OpenSource project to help, check it out.
@phpc I'm not hugely familiar with Symfony but have been submitting changes and such.
In the interests of keeping things speedy it's be great to have good Symfony people look it over for performance tweaks. Some of the queries the ORM is generating are huge (but maybe ok?)
I just stumbled across this #PHP bucket for the #Scoop installer on #Windows. It allows you to install multiple versions of PHP on Windows. Looks pretty cool, for those of you who use Windows.
Let’s all take a moment to thank the unsung hero of #PHP code quality tooling, Juliette! If you’ve used any static analysis and code quality tools, it’s likely she’s worked on it at some point.

My history goes back to 2003, when Chris Shiflett launched the phpcommunity.org project. We wanted to provide a hub for the PHP community. We built a great community on Freenode IRC & migrated to Libera.Chat IRC (we’re in #phpc). Nowadays, @ramsey manages the PHPC accounts & domains and is working to launch a non-profit for the PHP community.
