Gangsters

Panel 5: The guy holds the floppy gun in his hands. The barrel looks like an elephants trunk. The mobster says “please don’t hurt him”. The guy says “him?” Panel 6: Close up of the gun. It has pleading eyes. The gangster pleads to get the gun back. Panel 7: Gangster now holds the floppy gun. He can’t believe they were dumb enough to give it back. He says “say goodbye”. The gun says bang! Panel 8: The bullet slowly pushes its way through the floppy barrel.
Panel 9: The bullet falls out with a splort sound, hurting nobody. Panel 10: one of the guys turns to the other and says “should we just get in the car, or…?”

can someone please explain to me why there are storage options on the Apple TV

@tvaziri If you use VLC you can transfer video files over your network to the storage of the Apple TV. The video files will stay until Apple TV needs the storage for something else. That’s the only use that I’ve noticed.

@selviano @tvaziri Really? What part hasn’t worked? For me it’s worked really well. Open a browser on my pc, enter the address http://NameOfMyAppleTv.local , and then drag and drop video files.

My iTunes copy of Aliens was updated to the new #4K remaster and I'm so disappointed. They scrubbed it of all that beautiful grain and made it unnaturally sharp. I loved the grainy grittiness of Aliens. Left is my #BluRay copy, right is iTunes.

Grain is not bad damn it. But I'm sure I'm in the minority here and most people would prefer the "cleaner" version.

Sometimes it's nice that iTunes updates your movies to the latest version for free, but there's no way to go back to the version you originally bought. Luckily I still have my #BluRay with all the beautiful grain. And that's one of the reasons why I still love #PhysicalMedia.

Did the thing this weekend and I have to say I was surprised by how great Barbie was. I originally didn’t even plan to watch it in theaters (or possibly not see it at all). I have no interest in Barbie and figured it would be your typical comedy with too much riffing and lame jokes done to death but I loved it. Very happy to see it doing so well. And Oppenheimer too. A 3 hour Oppenheimer biopic doing that kind of boxoffice? Good times for cinemas!

Before phones had proper internet there was WAP (not the Cardi B kind) and I briefly worked as a #pixel artist for online mobile #games. The resolution was only 96 by 40 pixels and 1 bit color (black or white) so creating detailed images was a challenge. I find limitations often make me more creative though. The games were mostly text and static images. I got to try one of them, Feudal Lords, and it wasn’t my thing.
