A lovely yellow lily for your day! Thankfully, the issues on our instance are fixed, thanks to the admins. This was an exercise in capturing the essence of a subject, 10 different ones. I made it to six that satisfied me.

Happy May Day to everyone! If you're entering more Spring or more Winter, hoping you enjoy all the lovely moments! I am waiting on flowers to bloom. My favorite time of year. Well, I love them all, but something about all this new growth, rebirth, songs of Life! Sitting outside, the return of birds, and so much more. :)

It's a winter image, I know, but it's a favorite of mine. I think because it speaks silence so well, that silence that you experience when it's snowing, a lovely silent silence. You can hear the snowflakes as they hit the ground. I am glad it's Spring, but just spoke to me. Sometimes, I think it's what we need...

The Dock Quad is an image of four captures of the dock at the lake, all but the lower right taken using intentional camera movement. I love the freedom of not having to "stick to" all the rules and expressing creative freedom. And I love B&W photography.

White Magnolia Flower - from this Spring. It lives around the corner on a back road in from of an abandoned house. I like to visit it and let it know how beautiful it is. Processed as a B&W to give it a bit of abstract pop! Great print for any wall in your home or office.

Atlantic Ocean - slightly abstracted waves rolling onshore just after sunrise. Panning the camera during exposure gave it a nice feeling of movement. Captured at the Jersey shore on a cold March day.

Pulling the Docks - a conceptual shot using selective focus that depicts what it means when the docks are pulled. The coming of winter... I focused on those lovely bolts that hold the docks in place in the lake in the warm weather. Always sad to see them piled on the beach for months.
