Last week I got the court decision about the name change. The first letter you get in Germany contains the decision with the provision of any "involved party" being able to raise an objection within two weeks.

Historically the parties involved were the German state and the person filing the court process. The state was involved since its "interest" was that marriages had to be forcefully divorced (we didn't have same sex marriages, the world would burn down if we got some by gender change!) and a forceful sterilization because that would have made problems with assigning a "father" and a "mother".

Both paragraphs were removed because they violated human rights. So the filer (me) is the only concerned party. Still they wait for nearly four weeks.

If you answer to the decision by waiving the right to object, you save at least two weeks.

Posting job offers without a salary range is immoral and non-inclusive. It will prevent people from underrepresented groups from applying at your company. But I guess, that's what it's all about.

I should set up sort of a gallery page with my outfits. Whenever I take a picture of an outfit that I think is a "complete look", I save a copy in a dedicated folder on my Dropbox.

But lately paging through those has become cumbersome. So a web based archive might be an option.

But all self-hosted gallery systems I looked at are so fucking overfraught with features that the installation alone is a major endeavor.

And I probably would be the only user. I don't think someone else would be interested in that shit.

My self-discovery journey started with fashion, especially shoes. It's not a fetish but my main way of communication.

Which also is why I would be able to give a talk of at least an hour on sociology and semiotics of fashion.

Wonderful. Central heating went into error mode. There is an electromechanical control unit at the side with a reset button.

Pressed it like every other time. But instead of starting, smoke exited from the controller.

And my heating installer certainly certainly doesn't work at the weekend. It's a small company, they need the weekend.

Fashion theory is an experimental science based on self-exoerience. There are wonderful papers on scientists creating and wearing 'stuff' (like shoes) to get a first hand experience.
