Maybe. Concern about the region/country you live in is natural, concern about that area being disadvantaged or plundered of resources by a larger neighbour equally so. What is wrong with that?

The deepest causes are capitalism, that the means of production, how we produce and distribute what we need to survive is privately owned and run for profit, a stable existence is made scarce to force most people into spending away their lives working jobs they wouldn't otherwise do, a meaningful existence seems scarcer still
I fucking hate how predatory businesses are, checking options by default that could cause you to subscribe to something and spend a hundred dollars more than you'd planned, and they call it best value like they are doing you a favour
