It cracks me up when people say that people with ADD and ADHD don't actually need their meds, they are just addicted to Adderall. Have they even met a person with ADD or ADHD?
My friends forget to take their meds all the time!

@RickiTarr Yah. I only really remember to take mine because it's part of my (much) bigger breakfast routine. Otherwise it'll get forgot some days.

I know someone who thought was mistakenly diagnosed with ADHD. He described what it was like on the meds and I knew right away just from his description he didn't have ADHD. The stimulants work different on us. I can barely see the change in me but colleagues have said there's a big difference.

Oh. Microsoft are removing the video editor from the Windows 10 Photos app and pushing everyone to use their online tool, ClipChamp. So Internet upload speeds are good enough now, are they?

I think they might drive downloads of Openshot and Davinci Resolve, both free, local-install video editors.

My profile is a start but I came over from the birdsite in one of the first migrations, basically following most of my friend network.

I've been a pagan for a little while,
a photographer for a while longer, a programmer for a long time, a musician of one sort or another for even longer, a writer of some shade or other for just as long. And I recently discovered I'm transgender and have been all my life.

My taste in music is mostly Kpop but also a touch of electronica and a few other odds-and-sods, which I also make. Sometimes you'll see my art here, too.

Oh, and I've lost count of how many programming languages I've used over the decades.

I don't think Australia has quite grasped what makes good places for EV charging locations. Behind Blaxland shopping centre sounds like a good idea, and it is easy to get to, but it's very much a local shopping strip.

At least the charging was (predictably) fast.

I have a code branch that breaks a totally unrelated test. I even know which commit does it. But that commit touches none of the files around the broken test. It is so bizarre.

So YouTuber and streamer Finnster has come out as . A lot of people saw this coming, unsurprisingly.

But he's also done something else profound: he's normalising the journey of cross-dressing to femboy to transgender. Because that's very similar to my journey. And I think a lot of people don't grasp that that's also an entirely valid path to take.

Eggs can crack in all different ways at all different times for all different reasons.

Password complexity has increased in the last decade or so and so has support for managing and entering them. A lot of websites have an "unhide" button, for instance, and some sort of complexity meter.

But not everything.

I just changed one of my corporate passwords on a browser-hosted RDP screen. So, Windows, basically. The passwords are now so long and complex the lack of an unhide button was a real problem! Took me 4 tries to change it (it was a few days from expiring, so I had to).

@melissabeartrix Someone after all the copper in the transformer.

Many years ago, I had a CRT TV die of old age. Since I had acquired a replacement, Dad put it out for the council cleanup. Overnight, someone broke the back off and removed the yoke off the CRT. All that copper.

I was a bit sad - I'd loved that TV and had bought it new - but it was out as trash...

@HopelessDemigod Yah. A lot of the transphobia is towards transwomen, sadly.

I have two transmasc friends, one of who has had top surgery and it made him so much happier. I can't forget transmascs.
