Take a ride on the T13, the most rural tramway in the area. It glides through forests and fields to St-Cyr.

(It's technically known as a "tram-train.")

In the link, find more on the expansion of Paris's tram network this year.

A recent study has found that drivers of luxury cars are more likely to cut off pedestrians and other drivers.

A phenomenon known as the "Audi Effect," or sometimes, "Mercedes Brain."

Turns out "Audis in Houses" is a thing. Here's a collection of Audis in places where they really, really shouldn't be.

This month, will become the latest European city to bar through-traffic from its city center.

The plan, to be introduced for a three-month trial period on April 26, will see cars barred from driving through (but not from driving to) the heart of Lisbon’s downtown.

Why does so much of (metro pop. 40.7 million) feel like a small town?

One important reason: people in move a lot of cargo and accomplish a lot of urban tasks with very small vehicles, from the Mama-chari ("mommy-bike") to teeny-tiny garbage trucks.

Farmers in the US are getting sick of paying $80,000 for super-sized trucks that won't even fit into their barns.

They've been importing mini-trucks from #Japan that do the job and cost a lot less.

As Jeff Wood of @TheOverheadWire points out: "Japan taxes vehicles by size and engine displacement annually which has led to a lot of these smaller work trucks and vans. I often wonder what would happen if we taxed vehicles by weight or size as trucks and cars are getting ridiculously huge and dangerous to cyclists and pedestrians."

A "points" registry in for all major violations of traffic rules (like extreme speeding, DUI, etc) is broken down by brand.

Surprise: It validates the association between luxury car ownership and anti-social/asshole behavior.

"If all citizens are equal before law, a bus with 80 passengers has the right to 80 times more street space than a car with one."
Which is why when you see buses whipping past cars stuck in traffic—that's real democracy in action.
