In 2022 I joined Mastodon with my other account @sethpicturesmusic , but with help from other Mastodon metalheads I found this server, so I want to migrate 😄.
Er is voor de gemeenteambtenaren weinig moeilijk werk te doen want de @gemeenteamsterdam heeft al het werk aan contracten en beveiliging en verwerkersovereenkomsten al gedaan.

Printers are not only a source of anger due to their constant non-functioning, but also a source of e-waste due to their short lifespan. Our old printing devices are stored in storage rooms and spend their existence there. Sometimes they get handed over to waste dumps. Printers are undead and haunt us.
Architecture in Rotterdam is known to be some of the most innovative and creative architecture in Holland. And even after more than 30 years, the cube houses (Kubuswoningen in Dutch) remain one of the city's most remarkable projects. It's easy to see why: these particular houses are 45° side-tilted cubes, optimized to make the most of the available space. The result is buildings that look, feel and behave like no other dwelling anywhere in the world.
Dutch architect Piet Blom designed Rotterdam's cube houses in the late 1970s at the request of the city's planners. Blom had already experimented with cubic architecture in the Dutch town of Helmond. So when he was offered this project in the Oude Haven area of the city center, he decided to further develop his original ideas. Interestingly, the cubic houses even form a pedestrian bridge over one of the busiest streets in the city center.

I enjoyed the sail along the Nieuwe Maas in daylight a few weeks ago as it gave me another chance to admire the eclectic architecture of Rotterdam and the surrounding cities, and to snap some of those dolls house-like shots filled with details to enjoy and stories to concoct. So many people stopped to watch our ship glide past their houses or workplaces.

I don't often share posts from my own site but this might be of interest to anyone who likes #architecture or #design or who might be visiting #Rotterdam at some point. Photos and a little of the design elements and history of the Dutch Functionalist building Huis Sonneveld from our visit there a couple of years ago.
#Wissing mach endlich Tempo 100 km/h @bmdv
