Serious talk. Is "retard" and "retarded" an ableist slur or not?

szczur,

@timorl

I see. I'm very conflicted because some tell me it is and some that it's not.

"We must remove Hamas", says Netanyahu and company is the reason they must continue committing absolutely textbook mass-systematic war crimes, crimes against humanity, like murdering 12000 children.

12000 murdered children will be the the reason Hamas, Ansar Allah, Hizb Allah, al-Qaeda, ISIL and similar organizations will grow probably at rates only Bush II managed to achieve previously.

The only question is if Netanyahu and the genocide crew know and intend for that to happen, or not. It seems extremely improbable that if nothing else Shin Bet, Mossad, or the (overt or covert) allies' CIA, BND, SVR, MİT, SÄPO, MI6, et al have not informed the responsible decision-makers that we, as humankind overall, KNOW from vast previous unanimous experience that this is how humans works.
Shared extreme mass-atrocity with a combined frustration of it being ignored or intended is the main proliferation mechanism, whether actually counter-strategic or not, it just is.

If we therefore assume those decision-makers are informed but still making the decision which WILL harm the world immensely for decades, be a threat to YOU regardless of whom or where you are; they are knowingly premeditated intentionally complicit in not just all those immediate deaths, but also the future resulting – threats to humanity.

szczur,

@b9AcE

Preach, friend. I have been telling that over and over and over and over fucking again. Violence just grows more violence.

But then, they can profit from it. I don't think it's about Hamas anymore. Or at least, not only Hamas. What Nentayahu seems to be doing is to put the end of Palestine as a whole. Traumatise them into submission.

Fucking disgusting if you ask me.

I’ve noticed the increased popularity of Tinder, and I think you shouldn’t get sucked into it when given a chance. But why?

There are a couple of reasons, without giving away the details – first, it’s a massive scam, second - if you’re a man – there’s a good chance you’re the primary source of corpo earnings behind Tinder. Third – do you like red pill? Because Tinder massively contributes to men’s sense of loneliness, sending them on crash course with radicalization and susceptibility to cynical populists in the form of red pill gurus. And last but not least, Tinder basically lays the foundation for the capitalist thought of commercialization of every sphere of your life, preying on your most basic needs – it’s a loot based mobile game in which you insert your resume and draw until something comes along, subconsciously falling into the abyss of complexes and self-inflicted suffering that’s there because the company finds it profitable. Why? Because desperate people are willing to pay more!

But before we get to that, I’d like to recall the words of a colleague of mine who asked a very pertinent question during a conversation about Tinder with a guy who generally complained about the problem of finding a significant other.

“Why do you think Tinder will solve your problems when it’s much more profitable for it to keep you in this sad, consumerist state?”

This seems to me to be the crux of the problem. You are a product whose self-esteem plummets down to encourage you, to buy bonuses and premium plans. Tinder is completely deliberately taking advantage of the fact that there are simply more men on dating sites. By about 3/4. Add to that the fact that women are socialized to be dependent on men, simply more of them are in relationships – leaving men with the impression of inequality of opportunity. And you know how easy it is to dress this up in a tinfoil about the war between the sexes….

ffs, why do Jehovah's Witnesses always say that my "no cold calls" sign doesn't apply to them?

I really must update it to say "No Cold Calls (If you're wondering if this applies to you, then you're precisely the reason I put it in my window)"

szczur,

@passenger My sister had a Jehovah's witness friend, she was basically put in an arranged marriage at the age of 16 or 17 and had a child shortly after. But the child was sick and needed a blood transfusion, so the community basically diswitnessed her and her newborn child, the husband demanded to never ever see them again and she was basically homeless and in extreme poverty, so much so my sister and her friends had to aid her a lot to provide for the child.

This story always gives me chills. All this talk about redemption and forgiveness just to ruin some poor girls life for choices she was denied making.

szczur,

@kingbeauregard You know, the difference between Hamas and Israel is that first is a terrorist organisation and the latter is a nation state widely considered to be civilised. Judging them as equals is not really fair. Especially since nobody ever supports Hamas, we just find it disgusting that Israel can murder all these people without consequences.

Also, Hamas exists because of Israel. Not the other way around.

@RD4Anarchy @HeavenlyPossum @halfwitamerican

szczur,

@kingbeauregard Also, just the last thing. Repeating words like "rapist heroes" is fucking stupid, especially since Hamas are no heroes. They are terrorists.

But their wrongdoings don't make the Israeli response any more rational. So far all Israel does is murder, treat people like cattle and then murder again on the scale never achieved by Hamas.

All this because they failed to prevent, or simply allowed the attack of Oct. 7 to occur. Like, how does that even happen? Mossad is op as shit.

So in the name of those 15 thousands murdered, sincerely fuck you.

Just so you know, hierarchical systems based on exploitation -- in today's terms capitalism, once feudalism, etc. in no way promote innovation or talent. Wiser people than me (and there are many such) have said this before and in much better words.

But think about how many potential geniuses from various children, born with a predisposition to do great things are in fact forced to not reach their potential if only because through the endless rat race and the usual lack of opportunity to develop and nurture skills, or even the chance to discover some talent althogether, due to the prime need to survive never realizing that potential.

I think it was the poet Julian Tuwim who wrote about this in one of his letters, that he sees great painters, musicians, engineers in simple miners whose lives have been arranged in a way that does not allow them to be anything more, since they never had an opportunity to do anything else.

And then there are people whose brillant ideas were lost in bureacracy or have been denied because they were deemed unprofitable or too risky. And people too depressed, mentally and physically exhausted or just terrorised to the point of not doing anything. Or people with lower social status, or those bullied into submission or discriminated against. Hierarchies do hold us back.

Only by achieving the freedom to follow our own path can we truly reach the potential of our predispositions. Labouring on someone else's well being is exactly the opposite.

Dismantle capitalism.

This is what Biden should have said. Sadly he’s too involved if not complicit.
"Part of the problem in the end is 's arrogance," says a U.S. Air Force officer who has been involved in internal deliberations within the administration and discussions with his Israeli counterparts. "Even to us, in private and candid conversations, they have referred to the Hamas surprise attack and its brutality, they have invoked the , they have blamed Hamas, they have referred to 9/11 and argued the 'Never Again' justification for their unforgiving operation. The simple truth is Israel has lost the information war because it has destroyed so much, even if they can justify each individual attack."
