Fallout Series (Why don’t I like it?)

I think my first Bethesda game was Skyrim and I love Skyrim. I’ve played through Skyrim when it first came out I played through it again in the DLC came out. I played through it again on the switch I have since played through it again on PC. I love Skyrim. I played it so many times and I know it’s a meme to keep re-releasing...

themeatbridge,

I remember Where’s Waldo, but the way you wrote that had me thinking I missed a special Terminator edition of Where’s Waldo.

themeatbridge,

It will also make it easier to astroturf your own tweets and pay for likes.

themeatbridge,

Well, if enough people die, that would sure solve the water problem.

themeatbridge,

Sure, because if I was committing a crime, I would also want to hide the evidence.

Biden is dramatically out of touch with voters on Gaza. He may lose because of it | Moira Donegan (www.theguardian.com)

Many voters believe, with good reason, that none of this would have happened without Biden’s assent. Biden has continued to speak of Israel’s attack on Palestinian civilians using the absurd language of “self-defense”. He has insulted Jewish Americans and the memory of the Holocaust by invoking them to justify the...

themeatbridge,

I wonder if this isn’t overblown propaganda. Personally, and I know this is just my experience, but I’ve never met a person who isn’t a Trump supporter who isn’t voting for Biden. I’m sure they exist, and I want to keep seeing stories like this to encourage Biden to do better, and scare moderates to make sure they show up in November.

themeatbridge,

I was on board until I saw “with cream cheese” on the cup.

themeatbridge,

I know a lot of soups with q creamy base, but I can’t think of any with noodles. I’m sure they exist, I just can’t think of them. But cream cheese is much thicker and has a specific flavor that isn’t what I would expect in soup.

Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession – and most blame Biden (www.theguardian.com)

Nearly three in five Americans wrongly believe the US is in an economic recession, and the majority blame the Biden administration, according to a Harris poll conducted exclusively for the Guardian. The survey found persistent pessimism about the economy as election day draws closer....

You need to ask yourself why? If unemployment is low and the economy is growing, then why are 3 in 5 struggling? If you have a room with 100 people and 100 pizzas, statistically the room has plenty of food. If 60 of the people complain that they are hungry, you wouldn’t scoff and tell them, “stop complaining, look at all the statistical pizza in the room! Things are actually quite good for everyone.” Sure, maybe some are falling for propaganda, but propaganda doesn’t get you 3 out of 5 people.

themeatbridge,

Government small enough to fit in your bedroom.

themeatbridge,

Yes, that’s literally why they still have umpires in baseball. We could put sensors in everything and track balls and strikes in real time. AI cameras could track every player in a basketball or hockey game for penalties. We don’t because the leagues like having the drama (and the potential to tip the scales).

Former NBA player who played in as many NBA games as Senator Amy Klobuchar.

themeatbridge,

Also “help” and probably all of the other words.

themeatbridge,

Why would Alito recuse himself? This is why he became a judge.

They need to be demanding impeachment.

themeatbridge,

Democrats are never as good at predicting things as when they predict they can’t get something done. The point is to try, to raise the issue, to force your opponent to defend the issue, to raise awareness and money and volunteers to beat back the waves of evil that would destroy us all.

My entire life, Democrats have been shrugging and rolling their eyes while Conservatives rub their genitals all over the furniture.

Did Donald Trump need 60% to get what he wanted? Did Dick Cheney? Did Reagan or Nixon need a supermajority to funnel money into their pockets while destroying lives? No, they got what they wanted while Democrats in charge lined their own pockets while destroying lives.

Don’t come at me about Biden. He’s a shitbag, but I’m voting for him anyway because we literally cannot have another Trump term. But I’m really fucking tired of hearing about things we’re not trying to do because we’ll probably fail. There’s value in the failure, in the attempt.

themeatbridge,

It took them three years to start the first impeachment.

themeatbridge,

Like singing along with Money for Nothing.

Speaking before court, the former president said: “We’ll be doing something in the morning and then probably coming back in the afternoon. And we’ll be resting pretty quickly.”

He added, however, “I won’t be resting. I don’t rest.”

Smash cut to a montage of Trump asleep at the defense table

Narrator: He rests a lot.

Stop linking to reddit on lemmy. The links don’t work unless you install the app, and a lot of lemmy users are here because they don’t want to install the reddit app.

themeatbridge,

But the browser version of reddit won’t open links marked as nsfw.

themeatbridge, (edited )

Not NSFW links. You get a popup window that says “To view mature content, open in the app” or something. I don’t feel like clicking it again to read it verbatim. You can replace www. with old. but ain’t nobody got time for all that.

themeatbridge,

At this point, I feel like we need to turn that question back around on ourselves.

This is who they are. It’s who they all are. Maybe all Republicans aren’t Nazis, but they are all OK with Nazis.

We need to stop trying to shame conservatives into doing the right thing. We need to stop expecting morality, or patriotism, or rationality. Conservatives will say and do whatever they think they need to say or do to win.

How many examples does it take for people to notice?

themeatbridge,

Lightning Process founder, Dr Phil Parker, who’s not a medical doctor but has a PhD in psychology of health, told us his course was “not a mindset or positive thinking approach,” but one that uses “the brain to influence physiological changes”, backed by peer-reviewed evidence.

The coach on the course we attended said “thoughts about your symptoms, your worry about whether it’s ever going to go - that’s what keeps the neurology going.”

So in other words, a charletain is selling a fake cure to a real disease.
