please, if you’re on any platform where this guy is saying shit, just report him and block him and do not engage. he is seriously mentally ill and has fixated and nothing anyone says to him will stop him from doing this.

i block & mute ppl for so many different reasons every day. it’s been like this since i hit like 10k on twitter. it’s only just now that some dudes on twitter are starting to get pissed about it. what right does anyone have to my time or attention?
this shit detracts from my desire to ever educate or try again. it’s a never ending loop of “make an educational vid, some asshole makes sexist comments, point out sexist comments on twitter, get sexist hate for pointing that out, get sexist hate for pointing that out, get sexist hate for pointing that out…” on & on & on & on
so maybe i should shut up & do the videos? but even then. even then. i have ppl saying shit like “her jokes aren’t funny,” so I do an educational video & i get “she’s only teaching basic shit, this is useless”. what do you want me to teach you??????

multiple men approached me at cisco live & made rude comments about how they couldn’t DM me on twitter bc i don’t follow them. it was so goddamn weird. the entitlement, the creepiness, the lack of self awareness… it’s astounding. i am fucking tired. i need a better mental health strategy

it was sort of funny at first but at this point im actually getting pretty offended at the number of people who assume im in cybersecurity, bc it’s clear im just being lumped in under category “woman lots of followers twitter tech”
if someone can’t manage to do any basic research on me (glance @ my bio??) that tells me a lot abt my worth in their eyes. it’s a lot like having one’s name misspelled. it’s right there.
the fact networking is closely related to cybersec doesn’t matter; it’s 2 different disciplines with separate (yet occasionally overlapping) knowledge bases. please stop lumping me in just because im a woman in a tech space
i stopped posting on mastodon with any real frequency months ago bc of the patronizing jokes & smugness i was seeing aimed towards people voicing concern over twitter’s fate (as if most ppl aren’t on here solely bc of twitter anyway). i was actually called a nazi just for continuing to be on twitter, where the vast majority of my neteng community remained.
now, voicing any disappointment about twitter still seems to draw assholes just as much as it did back then. there are some kind people out here but i think im gonna make bluesky my new home if it continues living. the weird, mean-girl attitude that pervades mastodon rn is way too much.
@yakkoj yeah ive got no problems with making fun of twitter’s management 😂 just wish there were less meanness directed towards those of us who had a real home there & are hurting a little from the need to migrate
