@jhilden I agree with you, the message of the toot is voluntarily provocative and a bad advice but the article itself is very insightful.
On the other hand, the 31% recycling rate of EU is quite impressive but the more than 40% burning rate is also still insane. And I don't know what are the perspectives in terms of dramatically increasing the proportion of recycling.

@jhilden You're raising a point I wanted to talk about: making everything about cost effectiveness is a mistake I think, and expecting "the market" to solve this issue is very short-sighted. But if we're talking about costs, they are ways, through taxes, subventions and incentives, to make recycled plastic cheaper than newly extracted one.

If I could invent traffic rules I would invent one where cyclists can turn right at red, provided both roads have a separate cycling lane.

I mean this probably already is current praxis somewhere?
