Easily forgotten:

The things that genuinely motivate people to work ten or a hundred times harder toward a common goal are human, emotional, meaningful, purposeful, empathetic.

You can achieve minor gains with the mechanical, numeric, authoritative, concrete, inhuman; and it can feel like progress. But doing those same things but harder turns into .

Genuinely people is not just more and better of the same; it's an entirely different kind of .

Data pulled from https://instances.social/ (by @TheKinrar) and excludes pawoo and baraag as they're heavily blocked for good reasons (it seems)

Breaking down instances by the number of users into bins (that are quasi human friendly logarithmic), we see that the majority (55%) have 2-50 users, ~33% have 1 user, and almost all instances have less than 5,000 users.

This idea that well-fit N95/KN95/KF94 are extremely effective against is not new.

People who were paying attention were wearing them by late 2020. I had one that I santized with UV-C daily. I now have a full stockpile.

Should have been the guidance from the start. It was an airborne virus. It’s not that complicated.

For 20 years it seemed 1Password knew exactly what customers wanted, how they used their software, and how it could be improved. They've been taking a PR beating the last couple years, at least in my circles. They used to be the obvious choice, and now most people I know are looking for other options (or older versions). I don't think telemetry will fix that.

@danielpunkass I was pissed at 1Password 8 for a couple weeks, but then I got over it. They've been gradually improving it and actually fixing some of my complaints, so I am not as worried as I was before.

Still not on the same unimpeachable track they were on tho.
