I have a weird I have an old desktop computer with an Z87-plus mainboard.

If no display is attached it does not boot.

Anyone an explanation and more importantly a fix for it?

It is not the only use case for these things. I have one of those plugs to get a virtual display that I can share via VNC. There seems to be no VNC software solution that behaves exactly like a second monitor. But, yeah... Equally bad. 😅

I have been very skeptical about people claiming that Dolby Atmos is the future of music and that everyone needs to do their mixes in Atmos now. I mean, when I mix I am anticipating people listening on cheap bluetooth speakers or worse. I am lucky if they are using a decent pair of headphones, and now everybody buys an expensive Atmos system? If you have half an hour, @bennjordan explores the topic way better than I could.

I’m looking for an open-source tool to write loop points into files, for a section of the audio contained in the file.

By now I know that these are stored as smpl chunks (see https://www.recordingblogs.com/wiki/sample-chunk-of-a-wave-file for the binary structure), and I could generate the binary data myself, but I need a tool to write the chunk into an existing file. preferred, or a library.

& the tools can’t.

Depends. They might also be stored as cue points. If you are certain that the device that you are using reads the smpl chunk: MilkyTracker writes this chunk to store loop information in wav files. (I am currently working on an open source editor for wav meta data, but it is not yet usable.)

Tomatos filled with feta cheese and rosemary: Crumble the feta cheese and mix with rosemary leaves and a bit of black pepper. Fill the tomatos and wrap in aluminium foil.
