I have some haunting memories of the smell of that stuff because I cleaned a set of devices for a client with it for two days straight and it really made me not enjoy any drinks with orange zests in them, leave alone orange juice... for. weeks. but! If you need to clean a surface and don't want to use heavy solvents, give WEICON Industrial Citrus Cleaner (with lemonene being the main cleaning agent) a try! It dissolves left over adhesives in the blink of an eye. (not a paid advertisement)

@nblr Unabhängig von dem ganzen Schwachsinn den sie da "herausgefunden" haben: Warum meckern sie den traurigen Zustand an, und bringen nicht ihre ganzen innovativen Mitgliedsunternehmen und Startups dazu irgendwas hippes zu entwickeln, dass selbst Oma Röhrich einfach diese ganzen Vorschläge umsetzen kann, total Smooth ein Gastnetz und ein IoT Ghetto-VLAN, schon in der Default-Config individuelle User/Gerätepasswörter setzen...? Ah, machen sie nicht? Dann halt doch WPA/PSK "geheim123".

Washing-machine repair. Quite a carnage in the VFD (variable frequency drive) section that drives the main motor. All IGBTs are shot (short between all three pins), and most of the 2nd-stage drivers/diodes also went out. No idea what created this mess...

Noch 14 Jahre bis zum Ende der 32 Bit Epoch, time_t overflow, Chronocalypse.

Unix zählt Zeit in Sekunden seit dem 1. Januar 1970, Mitternacht UTC. Der Zähler ist vom Typ time_t, ein 32 Bit signed integer.

Nach 0x7fff ffff Sekunden läuft der über, in genau 14 Jahren ist es soweit. Danach ist die Zeit negativ, wir sind in 1901.

    @Der_Lichttechniker @leyrer @nblr „Kellerautomat“ hätte ich jetzt auch eher für einen rückstellbaren Leistungsschutzschalter mit hohem Bemessungsstrom (wie „in der Hauptverteilung im Keller“) gehalten, aber gut :-).

    Dass man „Stack“ im Deutschen als „Keller-“ und nicht als „Stapel-“ bezeichnet war mir tatsächlich neu.

    deutsche fucking bahn, alter! die fahrkarten, die man per nextnavigator kauft und per mail zugeschickt bekommt sind nicht mehr als rechnungen (mit ausgewiesener umsatzsteuer) zu verwenden. stattdessen muss man sich in der app durch jede reise einzeln popeln und für jede reise händisch eine rechnung generieren lassen, die man sich dann selbst schickt.

    This will be a three-rail voltage and current monitor for systems. It has two displays so you will be able to see everything at once, and can have graphs and other fun visualizations.

    And I'll be able to use it as base to connect to other modules via UART when I need an extended UI.

    @ve7fim I understand the simplicity of using the INAxxx current measuring ADCs with i2c output… but wouldn’t a circuit with a lot of opamps, a mux for input scanning and one standalone ADC be more fitting to the whole “synthesizer” theme? 😉

    @isotopp In Deutschland muss erst noch ein Konsortium aus Black Rock Investment, T-Systems, Diehl Defense Systems und der deutschen Bahn gegründet werden und ein bundesweites Fördersystem etabliert. Damit „der Markt“ durch wirtschaftspolitisch kluge Anreize selbsttätig 30km/h Schilder aufstellt… ohne jedoch den mündigen Bürger zu bevormunden oder die Konkurrenzfähigkeit deutscher Wirtschaft zu gefährden. Von diesem grünen ideologischen Vorschriftswahn haben wir ja schon genug! ☝️🧐
