    @isotopp ...ausser, Du hast 'ne Renault-ZOE (egal ob erste oder zweite Baureihe), die dann bei 7A (gezeigt am Ende des Ladevorgangs, ich lade normal mit ca 16A/11kW) noch 'nen Power-Factor von 38% hat (619W/(7A*230V)=0.3845), würde mich mal interessieren was so die üblichen Wechselrichter im Inselbetrieb dazu sagen, so vong 1 Wirkungsgrad her.

    Gut, mit dauernder Kopplung ans Niederspannungsnetz kompensiert das Netz die Blindleistung, kostet also nix, aber schön ist das leider nicht.

    in unserer Tageszeitung dieses Wochenende: Baubranche jammert dass alles zu teuer ist, und hier gerade reihenweise Bauträger Pleite gehen.

    So weit so vorhersehbar, aber was ist es, was man zur Verbesserung der Situation wünscht?

    Die Regeln für (als exzessiv bezeichnete) Energieeffizienz sollen gelockert werden, damit man endlich wieder billiger bauen kann…

    Vampire sieht man ja bekanntlich nicht im Spiegel, d.h. auf Fotos, die mit einer Spielreflex-Kamera gemacht wurden, sind sie logischerweise auch nicht zu sehen. Jetzt würde mich aber schon interessieren, ob das mit spiegellosen Systemkameras und Kompaktkameras funktionieren würde…?

    Progress wiring up the ISDN/POTS equipment for - hand soldering +heat shrinking two wires for each port. 48 ports @ 3 units means 288 solder joints. Ah plus 12 more for the E1 circuit.

    @beandev ...was ich jetzt halt echt nicht verstehe: Langes Video, Bild von Oben, mit grünem Pfeil... aber dann nur auf der Tonspur das gelaber von einem "Fake-Relais", aber kein Foto/Video vom eigentlichen Problem?

    (und, warum dieser Name? Ein "fake Relais" wäre für mich jetzt ein schwarzer Kasten wo mit viel Epoxy nur eine Brücke eingegossen ist, aber hier ist es ja angeblich ein Relais dessen Kontakt auf der Platine mit einer Leiterbahn überbrückt ist?)

    Hey people :)

    If I wanted to attach 16 vibration motors (with a rated current of 70 mA, and a rated voltage of 3 V) to a microcontroller like the Raspberry Pi Zero – what would be an easy, stable way to control them?

    GPIO pins don't allow enough current, right? So… transistors? Some clever IC?

    At most one motor will be on at the same time.

    @blinry @janamarie @Extelec @idiot @kwf @electronic_eel that looks fine, in general, but (1) can you pull enough current from 3v3? and (2) the Flyback current of the motors might induce over voltage in the 3v3 rail.

    I’d try to power the motors separately from the microcontroller, and also try to have a supply that can handle the reverse current the if will supply out of the COM pin.

    Heads-up to chaos.social users: This week, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) are releasing their new app, Threads, which reportedly will be Fediverse-compatible.

    There are a lot calls to block (or not block) them. We are both too busy this week to make a truly considered decision – sorry for that. Please give us a couple of days: We will sit down and make a call during or just after the weekend.

    This morning I got up early and re re re checked the RGB LED on the PCB that JLC are making.

    These things are a nightmare.

    Even just the “common anode on pin 4” can be RGBA RBGA BGRA BRGA GRBA GBRA order. And the damn thing fits at 90 degrees. And yes the odd one out (anode) is not pin 1. And the fucking data sheet has views top and bottom with numbering but does not state which is which view. Oh, and, of course, if it is on the bottom of the PCB you are viewing your circuit backwards!

    @jaseg @nblr the limit should be within 20s, action taken by the mains grid when outside 30s… Not what I would call „precision timing“ 😉
