related sneak peek into an upcoming piece: i firmly believe that if you're going to spend money on one thing online it should be a domain, particularly as online identity gets more fragmented. as platforms come and go, you can always find me there.

@niclake I support an application that’s very nearly older than I am. It’s not without its quirks but “legacy code” has been an overhyped boogeyman in my admittedly limited experience.

Our problem is less “nobody understands what Steve was doing five years ago” and more “shit it’s getting hard to find people who know COBOL at all”

I’ve got a great product idea for Apple. It’s a market that can bring in recurring revenue through consumables. One that has a variety of existing poor products with bad user interfaces, buggy software, and privacy issues.

@christianselig cuisinart dcc-3000. Keeps the coffee warm inside the machine rather than an external pot. Better? Idk. But different. LED light for dispensing coffee early AM without turning on the whole kitchen light when you JUST CANNOT WITH THE BRIGHTNESS. Also six years old and, critically, not broken today. Looks good with googly eyes.

Hi team, anyone have suggestions for a that takes #5 nibs that has good cap seal?

I’m thinking Opus 88 Halo currently, but what I’d ideally want is a spring loaded cap like in an Esterbrook, Fine Writing, Platinum, Sailor Realo.

I have a bunch of good #5 nibs but no good comfortable pen to put them in currently.

  • plus a few green cartridges for my son's Pilot Kakuno he sometimes uses

I'm most excited for the Iroshizuku ink and cautiously hopeful about the Prefounte.
