About as much as Ivanka did when Trump made her Director of the office of initiatives. Or when she was the advisor to the president of the United States.
Here's what I've gleamed. Say you make a magazine for toys. It is now addressed as toys@kbin.social, you associate the word toys as the badge for it. You'll see things posted in microthreads that have that badge under that magazine. However that magazine is separate. Every so often Lemmy will download changes from federated servers like kbin. It will then add your toys@kbin.social and users will see it when they search for toy based Lemmy channels (not sure what it's called). But from that point on, Lemmy will refresh with changes you've made and it'll show up over there. Thats how you browse Lemmy stuff here.
The target of keeping long-term global warming within 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 Fahrenheit) is moving out of reach, climate experts say, with nations failing to set more ambitious goals.
I think it's funny that you can't really prep for this. It's going to be a slow collapse, slowly churning and making it impossible for anyone to survive. As critical infrastructure fails, food, water sources dry up, and the only solution anyone is capable of giving: "Try biking to work". Realistically it should be "get ready for an apocalypse." No amount of prep will leave you untouched.
I mean I don't think it's useless. I just think we all fucking know who the biggest polluters are. And how we still don't have carbon caps is insane to me. Edit: fair enough check blazers comments
I mean, yeah. That's because they were tasked with something they had never done before. Given a product that's absolutely awful from even a marketing perspective. Gollum? Really?
At first it was all about presenting data in an original looking way. In the end it was about pushing political ideas in your throat using a plain bar graph. It was not about sharing something interesting you found but about taking advantage of a captive audience.
It's kind of a moot point imho because local llama models are getting real good. I think without an issue they might be able to run locally with additional dedicated hardware components in the PC. You could potentially allow for a fully customized locally run offline AI that's integrated into the system. This might be feasible by the time Microsoft actually has some kind of cloud based version of windows on the market. At which point I'd probably just switch to Linux or any other OS that allows that kind of implementation.
Forspoken isn't bad.... As long as it's played completely dubbed in Japanese with subs on. Obviously last of us 2 was really great, horizon is also very well acted, and very well done. I think it also is inclusive in a way that matters where some games just replace the protag with a woman, these games build it into narrative as well. In the same vein, I really liked life is strange (even colors to be honest)
now they're making a live action moana in 2025. it hasn't even been 10 years, disney is lowballing so hard with these lifeless remakes. hopefully ariel flops bad enough that they change their minds.
What are cis and trans alternate types of? I don't think it's "gender identity" because wouldn't that just be man, woman or nonbinary regardless of whether they're cis or trans? Cis/trans just being a qualifier?...
Only things that entertain us are things we care about. As the world's sorrows and tragedies grow by the day, everything from climate change to mass shootings of toddlers, we're numb. The one thing that helped is that it was rich people, we all (except republicans apparently) want to eat the rich, and these guys said sure we'll just go drown, they're pretty much allies. Gotta celebrate that.
Correct. Once the charge ack occurs however, the key is revoked. The key is revoked and the customer goes to g2a who refuses refunds (unless you pay an extra cover charge fee now I think).
A northern Utah school district has reversed its earlier committee-based decision that removed the Bible from elementary and junior high school but kept it in high school libraries.
What a fucking circus the republican party is. Everyone from the supreme court justices to these turds in office are nothing but clowns willing to sell the rights of everyone and their own mother to the highest corporate bidder. Even the "old school republicans" turned out to be facist shits. I guess they always were.
I really am not even sure what there is to say about this. It's crazy considering they even have police assigned right on third now. I can't imagine being the husband losing both his wife and his unborn child. Christ, I wonder how you recover from that... Also What the fuck was wrong with the guy that did this?
