I don't like these headlines as it diminishes the actually ridiculous stuff he says. I mean don't get me wrong the whole speech was bad but he obviously knew who he was talking about and was joking. tying migrants to insane asylums to hannibal lecter. thats the crazy of his speech. He literally said in a speech this week that if he had been elected president there would be no crises in gaza. Which you know. maybe. if he decided to help them with carpet bombing is some crazy shit. you know. given its him.

I always thought that too. Or maybe like cold storage as there is a thing about short term memory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short-term_memory and working memory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_memory#Capacity. Seems like we have very littel ram but maybe that is cache. im not sure.

I mean if the ruch person lives in a condo rather than a mansion wouldn't that open up the space the mansion sat for more condos? I don't see how the rich living frugal is going to hurt here. Or are you talking about them not living in a wealthy enough neighborhood in which case I doubt the ultra wealthy guy is looking to live in the slum. If anything it might be the doing alright person looking to have a house rather than a condo in a nicer area.

oh man you are so spot on. I remember a back and forth I had about me saying jesus espoused pacifism and a religious guy told me the turn the other cheek was meant to not be taken literally but a later thing where jesus is being taken away and he told his disciples he will have to arm themselves should (this part mind you is when he told the one to put away the sword and healed the soldiers ear). Its definitely what do I want the end thing to be and now let me interpret to reach that.

I think the thing here to is we are talking typical ones. Not like someone who is screwing around in life. Im an Xer so like I did not have the option of the house with 2 cars in the suburbs thing I grew up on as "normal" or at least the cash to have an eqivalent expense wise. I have done very well. So I have a place but I know peers in rediculous situations that are a hairsbreath from homeless. For millenials and gen z this is moving to the mainstream and the whole suburban fantasy family is not something they were barely not able to achieve but is a crazy pipe dream. and I just can't imagine what the next gen is going to face.

im not even sure its true. Its so funny to find out how right I am here. Curiously its not new for me. I went to a catholic university for two years before going a state school. I seemed incredibly left/USliberal/progressive at the catholic institution which was run by benedictions so its about as left as your going to get for a religions institution. Then at the state school I seemed maybe a bit left of center or downright center which is no surprise as it tends to be as left as you get.

One thing that was a sticking point in my mind were interpretations of words like attachment, suffering, I think I am coming to a better understanding when thinking more around the word acceptance.

yes. I even like that phrase. letting go of expectations. Im not wild about getting to obsessed over words in a conversation but buddhism is very deep and its hard to really fathom its nuisances.
