A boob, a butt, or even some violence like one might see on the news anyway, I’m not freaked out about all that and I don’t feel the need to hide it from those around me usually… that’s all fine fine, but I don’t want porn on my feed like at all....
💯
I even find movie violence quite disturbing sometimes.
But not video game violence. That I'm perpetrating. I'm not sure if that says anything about me.
This seems like it could be more damaging to reddit than helpful. If you're not using the official app already, being unable to view certain stuff might put new comers off joining up, meanwhile those who already use the app see the message just fine, linking them to an alternative.
I bought a lift-top coffee table from a big box store almost a decade ago. It's entirely particle board and has seen better days cosmetically, but it's probably my single favorite piece of furniture. It's immensely practical for meals, using a laptop, or just bringing your remote/drink/whatever closer to your hand when laying...
I don't know that i can say i UNDERSTAND menstruation and especially hormonal birth control, but i think men should, at minimum, be taught that they DON'T know about it. A lot of men seem to somehow develop absurd ideas about it, things like women being able to hold it in like pee.
And the other bit is just as ludicrous. Did this guy not carry condoms? Even if you weren't taking it as a medication, being on birth control is just good sense of you don't want to get pregnant. It's much too late to take it when sexual encounter is in prospect; women HAVE to take it proactively .
On reddit, I was used to posts automatically hiding themselves if I voted up or down, or there was a way to hide individual stories manually. Is there a way to do this on Kbin, or even better across the Fediverse in general?
I'm already a robot, merely one made of biological, somewhat self- repairing components, which unfortunately are very difficult to replicate in any way besides procreation, and distinctly non- trivial to switch out even when a replacement is available. If the only thing changing is the ease with which failing parts can be replaced, then he'll yes i would. I think any sane person would, or at least should. The only reason to say no would be the assumption of certain things associated with robots as stereotyped in media, but not necessarily specified in the actual question.
This, for sure. I found the official app just unworkable - videos would fail to load with no option to retry, you had to hard reset the app to get it to try again. RIF made reddit actually fun.
But apparently reddit doesn't want that.
I've finally finished my exams, and now finnaly have some time to play. I was wondering what games I should try out? I usually end up playing for 30 minutes before losing my attention span, so I'm looking for a very immersive and simple to get into game. Anybody got any suggestions?
second DSP. My only complaint is... actually, i can't think of any? Maybe that you get so far through the tech tree before even leaving your home planet, but well, it's still in early access 🤷♂️
It hasn't been mentioned here yet so I'll chirp in: Dwarf Fortress! Imagine it as the sims, but with dwarves. Who are all alcoholics, even the children. And there's a literal hell, and you can go there (without the pesky need to die first). And, well, volcanoes and lava and magma and pumping magma through channels in the rock to use it for production purposes or as a defensive weapon, and goblins and elves and sieges and elves coming to besiege you because you cut down too many trees, wielding only wooden weapons and wearing wooden armor and riding "a gigantic monster in the shape of a tiger"...
Honestly, threes just so much to the game it's hard to really do it justice.
Just curious... we had a lot of bots on reddit which could do some useful things, but obviously Kbin is a lot smaller and I don't wanna spam the API too much....
The people in charge are fools if they're taking this as just a temporary annoyance. Yes, this particular action is temporary - it's like a set duration strike. We're showing how many people are dissatisfied and willing to commit to further sanctions if concerns aren't immediately addressed.
Also, while the subs may light up again, a lot of /u/s won't. The content will come back, but not all of it, and it'll just trickle away if nothing is done. Reddit depends on a certain critical mass to function - people have to post content that engages others to keep everyone engaged. Once content quality (or quantity) falls below a critical threshold, the entire place will just become so much wasteland.

We need to be able to differentiate between NSFW and porn.

I wouldn't. Immortality sounds miserable to me.

For me it has to be Toki. The characters were so weird and creepy, especially the bosses!

I haven't used Reddit at all since the blackout began. Even if they change course, the Fediverse is growing on me, and I think I'll stay here....
