Love it, love the management sim aspect of this event

Limewirelord, to honkaistarrail

Is there any specific ideas on having /m/hsr be spoiler friendly? I don't have any strong opinion on the matter but it'd be nice to know ahead of time.

@Limewirelord Vulcan supports usage of [spoiler] when necessary

I dropped the cash to get E2 Silver Wolf. So worth it, she's a beast! Support the carry? She is the carry!

One of the fascinating things to me about the HN discussion on the Reddit strike is the extent to which a community that's normally extremely pro-capital can suddenly see not only the problems with worker exploitation but the validity of collective action to fight against executive greed.

@williampietri HN discussion about is interesting and good to read (Vulcan has a HN account but rarely comment there)

Welcome to /m/openSUSE, just in case we get any refugees from /r/openSUSE, or this whole kbin thing takes off.

This is a nice "fsck Redditors" gesture from Reddit Inc.

kills third-party apps by hiking API fees to girnomous levels.

Me not realising that there were even third-party apps

So I'm not sure that the narrative that Reddit will destroy its business by doing this is true, cos it doesn't affect users like me, which I suspect, is a majority of its users.

However, as a developer, I will think twice about developing anything for a for-profit platform, seeing what happened with etc. It is ... not great that platforms are ..1/2

@rakyat

@liztai Vulcan concurs with this, as a moderator, third-party apps are must-have for an effective moderation on Reddit

Let's hope the upcoming IPO will be a massive flop

Currently, there is no mobile apps for kbin yet

And hello fellow Relay user!

As the subreddit blackout begins, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Reddit community and everyone standing up ❤️ Let's hope Reddit listens. https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/147a8xb/as_the_subreddit_blackout_begins_i_wanted_to_say/

@christianselig Here is a Vulcan salute!

Why are you not seeing as many posts from Lemmy communities on Kbin?

Hello! You may have noticed that the majority of posts and threads in your feed on Kbin are from within the platform itself. This is because the admin has activated Cloudflare DDoS protection which basically slows down requests to kbin, to prevent the website from experiencing downtime or becoming slow to respond....

tchambers, to RedditMigration

That seems like a lot.

“Nearly 3,500 subreddit forums are set to go private for 48 hours on Monday to protest Reddit's new pricing policy, BBC News reported.”
