While I agree with the article and the general idea, fact is many sites actively block tor connections and that makes it difficult to recommend as a stand in replacement for regular users. I'm not sure what the solution is, because as stated in the article, the more people using tor for general use, the better security it pffers those that truly need its privacy.

Bold move to assume they'll take cash. Many places gave up on cash during the pandemic and many of those haven't gone back to taking cash.
I used to hate the "convince" fee companies charged for using a credit card, but when it's reframed as a cash discount, it's not as aggravating.
That said, plenty of places are electronic payment only these days. Scary times, given the payment processor monopoly and their ability to determine what you can and can't buy.

Where do you think is a reasonable price? Search is something most folks use daily, multiple times per day. If the quality of results is good, that seems like a small price to pay. Netflix is pushing 20 a month, and many other streaming services are in the 10—15 range.
Sad thing is, plenty of people will lap this up as a good thing and see it as a benefit. At least at first, until they realize they have to watch some TV based ads before they watch the ad roll on their YouTube video, followed by the second screen showing some banner ad the whole time. Yick.
