Running VLV on Chromecast with Google TV sometimes gives you issues with audio codecs if you want audio output through Bluetooth. Not sure whether this is OP's problem but it happens.
So I'm in the process of switching from Spotify to Tidal for my music streaming (since Tidal pays artists like three times more than Spotify does). The only problem is, Tidal doesn't support podcasts, which is another big thing I used Spotify for....

I read The Verge's latest interview with Steve Huffman here and it seems as though the Reddit blackout is having little to no effect. It also seems as though the communities at large don't really care and will probably just use the official app or don't really know there are 3rd party ones. So it seems this will pass and be...
I think one needs to see the bigger picture here. The protest that started earlier this week might not have left a big dent in reddit yet. What it did though is raise attention and increase awareness for alternative news/content aggregators like kbin. They're not anywhere close to competing with reddit yet but the door got opened.
The shortsighted reddit politics basically helped to kickstart their own future competitors. If we do our best here and bring in good content, comment and get past only consuming there will be a real chance to become more appealing than reddit in the long run. I'm definitely here to stay.
For the past few years Spotify's Discover Weekly has been the main way I discover new (to me) music. Secondarily I guess just from browsing the related artists of the ones I already listen to. Looking for other strategies inside or outside of spotify.
I saw an article for Star Wars Outlaws and it made me think of all the SW video games I've played over the years, starting from the original SW console game to X-Wing Alliance to Jedi: Survivor...
I'm not sure about the proper pronunciation of Kbin yet. But Kbinites it would work both with the Kay-bin pronunciation as well as with pronouncing it "cabin".
I've been on reddit for more than a decade and it was my social network. Not FB, not IG, not Twitter. I must have visited almost daily and I learned about so many thing that I would have not come across otherwise.
What's happening there right now is more than sad but I'm definitely feeling the excitement of a fresh start. Consuming less and contributing more, checking out magazines that I have never hear of before and mainly helping to build a new community.
Just migrated from reddit where I left behind a 13 year old account. It was fun while it lasted but now reddit is on my pihole's blacklist unless they change their politics.

Reddit refugees assemble!!!
Nothing important here. I just want to see how many people are moving away from Reddit.
How much of an impact is the protest really having on Reddit?

Describe a game in 5 words or less, and see if anyone can guess it.

If brands were brutally honest. What brand would have what slogan?
Just wondering...
A lot subreddits end their blackout tomorrow. Will you go back to Reddit, or continue with kbin and the Fediverse?
I haven't used Reddit at all since the blackout began. Even if they change course, the Fediverse is growing on me, and I think I'll stay here....
People from Reddit or redditors, people from Boston are Bostonians, people from Canada are Canadian. What should the people of this site use for a demonym?
I've seen keebinetters, but that feels like trying to say Massachusettsian instead of Bay Stater....
OC I love the chaos at the moment
I'm feeling a real positive energy and community spirit as a result of the sudden fragmentation of reddit's foundational use base....

Do media in your country inform about Reddit blackout?
Asking especially those living outside USA.
Yikes! Reddit turning off mobile access to reddit.
