And it's important to remember that the legal doctrine that was used to legalize birth control was the same legal doctrine that SCOTUS found to be unconstitutional in Dobbs. And in his concurring opinion, Justice Thomas wrote that the Supreme Court “should reconsider” its past rulings codifying rights to contraception access as a result.

So, yeah. Banning birth control is 100% definitely on their to-do list.

Mine was a pretty typical conservative rural White boy high school experience. Little school so I did just about everything. Played football because that's what a young healthy high school boy did in my town, but I hated it. Otherwise I was in Yearbook, church youth group, and ran track -which was the sport I most enjoyed and had success with.

Didn't get bullied too bad, just had to ignore a few a-holes that tried to get attention from anyone in eyeshot. I don't think many people I grew up with would say I did much bullying myself.

Didn't drink, didn't smoke. Didn't go to parties. If someone made a teen highschool movie about my high school my character for the movie would probably be "Classroom Student no. 4". I was never a main character of anything.

Sorry to step on your toes on this one.

I'm sure the prosecution is going to do everything they can, and I also trust that the judge is going to do everything they can to ensure this is a fair trial.

But I also know good and well exactly how absolutely brainwashed Trump's supporters are. They literally worship him. They would literally give up their own lives for him. They literally hold him equal or higher to Jesus Christ. That's not an exaggeration. Trump only needs one true believer on the jury to hang it. This is not in the bag.

Sorry if that's dooming, but I think it's also reality. I do not believe the courts are going to save us. We are going to have to beat him in November.

It's not a long-shot plan. Putin has publicly stated that if Kiev would hand over the current occupied area to Russia then Russia would end the war (basically giving Russia a victory).

Of course all that would do is set the stage for a third invasion in a few years with Russia claiming just a little more territory.

I'll admit, for years I really believed that the internet could be a great tool to break through the corporate created narratives and misinformation and that most people were generally thoughtful and intelligent and, if provided with good information, would come to accept the best ideas.

Yeah, so, in November of 2016 I was smacked over the head really hard with the reality that my beliefs about general human intelligence was severely flawed.

Well, if I was a betting man -which I'm not because I'm a coward- I would buy a lot of DJT right now. Everyone expects it to keep collapsing, which means it's gonna go full GameStop due to short sellers painting themselves into corners.

I bet DJT hits $1000 before it hits $20. (Not really because, again, I'm way too cowardly to actually make these kinds of stock bets.)
