If I organized an unconference in the Bay Area for non-AI focused technologists, investors and companies hiring for non-AI positions would you be interested in attending? Sponsoring (with $ or contributions like space)? Volunteering? Non-AI because there is a surplus of AI focused events and while my first startup did machine learning I’m more interested in solving real problems for real people than the latest fad and hype cycle. Unconference but will have some structure.

I just read a news piece with an interview with Victoria Mary Clarke, Shane's wife, was thanking for the good wishes as Shane was doing well. This is incredibly sad and my heart goes out to his family. He was a legend. Pour a Guinness for you laddie.

I'm looking for a fantasy title to feature for my November book discussion. I can figure out one on my own, but it is a good topic to crowdsource.
My current criteria is that it should be somewhat entry-level to the genre and friendly to non-fans, but still "fantasy". It should be at least a few years old, so that I can reliably get paperbacks. Not too long (book groups don't tend to like long books).

am annoyed as fuck with myself. My in progress folder has tons of work I've started and stopped even in mid-sentence. Like, wtf Lisa?

I remain overwhelmed by the amount of work I have to do. I found a few lit mags I want to get into but nothing I have (right now) fits their themes. Soon!

Reached out to an editor and I'm sending them some pieces this week to work on.
