@RickiTarr Thereby proving that women were correct in trusting they were more likely to be at danger from the men than the bear. One out of every two women who is killed dies at the hands of A MALE RELATIVE, a father, brother, husband, son, lover, boyfriend. If bears were attacking women in such large numbers, bears would have been wiped out already.

@RickiTarr Because a world that is safer for women is usually much safer for all other living things, too. Women have families, and every family member benefits when the world is safer for women. If you're feeling guilt about the ex you beat, or the GF you slapped, take it up with your therapist. The rest of the world doesn't need to deal with your guilt. Acknowledging the facts is the first step on the path to truth.

I straightened my hair for 50 years. I'm lucky I don't have cancer and I weep for my little girl and woman self who felt the need to do this.

I love my natural hair and it will NEVER be straightened again. I want to look like ME, not you.

@StillIRise1963 I know. Horrible thought. I see so many people with light skins, blonde hair, green/blue eyes, and they look white to me. But then, white people tell me they're Black, and at first I used to think, are you crazy, they're whiter than YOU. And then I realized that they don't give a damn how white a person looks, if they have "one drop of Black blood." Which looks red to me, like all other human blood, and how the hell do you measure a single drop of blood in a sea of it?

@ai6yr And, in case you didn't know, these BIG animals move REALLY fast and can leap up to five feet in the air. You WILL get made into a flattened meat patty, so don't even try it. If you're closer than 25 feet, that fucker WILL outrun you and squash you FLAT.

Because I decided to practice daily #yoga at the beginning of this year, I am able to do 3 hours of mowing with a push mower in a row and not be messed up after this.

I am getting close to 50 years old, I am not exactly young anymore. My body used to be in such a bad shape that what I did today was impossible.

Yoga has changed my life and yard work is not a concern anymore.

Our local and free is the best thing our local community has done for .

We can give the extra plants that love to volunteer in the and exchange a few , , plants, or garden tools that people want to share.

@compost It's amazing how many of our lovely LGBTQ fam are gardeners AND readers. I guess when you have to hide who you really are from most people, it makes sense to want to do things on your own. Nothing better than sitting in the garden, surrounded by this little piece of a beautiful planet. Our home.
