Chonky nozzel + decent amount of material = opportunity for lots of spaghetti (lemmy.world)
Any suggestions before trying again after a reset? This is my first go round changing nozzle diameter. I went from a 0.4 mm nozzle to a 0.6 mm nozzle....

Our youngest broke his big brother’s bumblebee. Three iterations later, everything fits pretty well and the older one is happy to have bumblebee back....
Right now looking into bang for the buck workhorses with a small footprint/build volume. A description that fit the Prusa mini+ perfectly in the past, but it feels like Prusa is a dinosaur that hasn’t moved with the times....
After half a dozen iterations, this was the first reasonably working, acceptable feeling, and good-sounding ratchet mechanism....

It’s 1.75mm filament going into 2mm layers. lol, wtf. Still looks great, though.
I think 1kg spools are too much, I want to experiment with ALL THE COLORS… But few manufacturers offer 250g, and they are sometimes twice the cost by weight. https://feddit.it/pictrs/image/2658590c-535c-4523-9dd2-25663ba7bc23.webp
Does anyone have any tips or tools to help with managing slicer profiles using inheritance? I primarily use SuperSlicer but have been dabbling with Orca Slicer recently....
I started resin printing and I am wondering if you guys use a full on resperator (if so is their a specific classification you’d recommend?) Or do you just use a cloth / surgical mask?...
I finally got a filament drying box and I’m using it prior to and during prints. It seems to be helping. I’m a bit of a color queen, so I keep a pretty big backlog of different filaments. I’ve been storing them in vacuum bags but the vacuum bags often seem to lose some of their vacuum after a few months; the whole process...
In keeping with my usual tradition of harping on about the dumb shit I design and slap up on Printables:...
I’ve had access to a roommate’s 3D printer, but they’ll be moving away soon :(...
Hey, my printer recently stopped working saying the filament ran out even though it was still in for use. I checked the sensor and sure enough it was worn down, so I replaced it. But now I’m getting the same message even though I just replaced the sensor and all the wires are connected back to the sensor and printer. If it...
Building a 3D printer is easy. Getting the details right to build a great 3D printer is hard, as this is where most companies fail. Why?...
[SOLVED] cause: not enough cooling for overhangs...
Solving everyday problems that shouldn’t exist in the first place: That’s the 3D printing way....
This looks right in my price range for my next upgrade. I want a core xy, I’ve been on bed slingers, so this looks good....
On my ender 3 I have to turn the knobs on the bottom for leveling....
Anyone have any idea what might cause this sort of issue on PLA? I run into it frequently, but pretty much only when all of the following points are true:...
Hi all. This is an update to this post. I don’t know what else the community can do to help, but I figured I’d throw some more content up there and give something bored people to look at....
**EDIT: In the interest of full disclosure, I had a filament break about 1/3 through, but that’s okay because the partial PLA print was nowhere near strong enough along the layer lines. There are plenty of decent 3D printed keyboards out there that just need some assembly and post-processing, so if this one doesn’t work...
One of the best things about 3d printing is fixing problems that you and 2 other people have. This box dries the filament I use and the opening strap snapped off within a week. Someone made a knob. 10 min print. Bam. Works again....
