Hey . When you use union and intersection types, do you include spaces?

(RT for reach, etc. This is survey data for @phpfig. If you know of any official policies by major projects already, please note/link in the replies.)

@Crell @phpfig Not that my opinion is worth much because I don't do accessibility, but I don't use spaces and seeing spaces in a type is just really weird to me.

@Girgias @Crell @phpfig Interesting POV: You don't have two or more types combined but a totally new type.

@phpc Replace all the Ps with PHPs.

Just like PHP mostly got reduced to overriding/replacing eCommerce framework functionality with custom code.

I'm looking for a solution to branch-based previews for a / stack. We have nearly 60 sites we want to set this up for (a lot of services I find either charge $1000s or don't even support that many).

I don't want anything fancy, I don't need to edit in the browser. I would like to push a branch to gitlab and have the option to spin up an environment to preview.

I have considered doing it myself, but I was hoping to not have to support my own infrastructure.

@mikestreety @ramsey after reading all the different replies to your post I would like to add couple of benefits of handling this on Cloud Run:

  • scale down to 0. So you only pay if you are using it (sending it traffic.)
  • same service on cloud run can have multiple versions live. (I create 1 service per repo and multiple versions for each PR with unique urls)
  • you have the option to create/attach a DB to each version/service or use production DB .

@gcg @ramsey Ah, that is cool. What would be the killer feature is if it doesn't spin up until the URL is access & then shut down after ~10 mins of inactivity.

Devs & Ams would have no problem waiting a minute or two for it to startup to preview it

@heiglandreas @sirber Just to check, with Pdflib you mean this one? https://www.pdflib.com/

@thomastospace Yes.

You'd need PDFlib+PDI

So, it really annoyed me that in Laravel 11 you cannot have multiple listeners for the same event in an array like you could in Laravel 10.

It's not like it's a big deal, as it's simple enough to implement, but just seems like a step backwards.

What do you think?

@michael Will replicate this EventServiceProvider in one of our apps, once we start migrating it to Laravel 11.

Not a big fan of the auto-discovery or the new way of registering events.

@stefanzweifel yeah, not a big fan of auto discovery either.

It just makes events way too opaque, in my opinion.

phpDocumentor 3.5 is here! With better Guides support and now fully functional RST! Automatic generated class diagrams by querying your code base and much more!

Let us know what you like in this new release!

danielsiepmann,

@phpdoc Thanks. I'm really looking forward to the "Extensions" feature as it sounds like something we wanna have for customer projects.

And I highly value the existing features in the release.
