The sea otters are just having a fantastic time in the harbor in Homer! The weather has been so warm lately that the frozen water has thawed. Check out these awesome photos by Michelle Hanson #Alaska#AlaskaMarineLife#SeaOtters
Photographer Michelle Hanson caught something pretty rare in the waters in Homer, Alaska. She saw and captured a mom sea otter and brand new pup right after the birth. Some of the pics are kinda graphic as apparently, mom sea otters consume after birth. What a moment! #Alaska#AlaskaMarineLife#AKSeaOtterBirth#SeaOtterPup
This little guy is gaining weight! He was rescued near the Seldovia Harbor on Halloween and has been cared for by the wonderful team at the Alaska SeaLife Center. #Alaska#AlaskaMarineLife#NorthernSeaOtter
The latest rescue by the Alaska SeaLife Center is a male northern sea otter pup. He was spotted swimming alone near the dock in Seldovia and he was crying out for his mom. After a few hours, the pup was rescued and transported to the AK SeaLife Center where he is receiving 24/7 care. He is just absolutely adorable! This is Tuq. He is a seal harbor that was recently rescued and brought to the Alaska SeaLife Center for care & healing. The Seward Fire Dept. donated a fire hose to the ASLC so it could be used in their enrichment program for Marine animals. Tuq is a real beauty! #Alaska#AlaskaMarineLife#RescuedMarineLife#AlaskaSeaLifeCenter
These were just posted of the walrus calf that was rescued up on the North Slope in Alaska and is now in the caring hands of the SeaLife Center in Seward, AK. Photos by Chilly Dawgs. The calf is still having some issues with nutrition absorption, but he pooped last night after a 12-hour span without one, so that's good news! #Alaska#WalrusCalfRescue#AlaskaMarineLife
